My bigger problem is the door ajar light won't go off on the dash and the 5 interior convenience lights stay on for 10 minutes whenever I use the passengers sliding door. I'm wondering if cleaning the lock mechanism might help with that.

Is that really the air intake hose/to filter? I replaced mine yesterday, and while it was up in the air, I started the GL, the air compressor seemed to be pushing air OUT of the hose and into the filter. Again, with the hose DETACHED, it was pushing air OUT? I was so confused why it is pushing and into the filter and then out to atmosphere.

Awesome video now I think I know why my front right is dropping because the same thing. All the airbags were replace the compressor was replaced. Im having the same issue. My only question is. When that latch went bad. Did it also cause the window not to get power? My door looks fine and so does the wiring. Its not the fuses as the other door works normally.

Is it possible to replace just the inlet hose? I had the same issue and I cut it back and reconnected but a few months later the end dried up and crumbled again. I replaced the filter and the rest looks fine so it seems silly to spend $150 on the whole assembly when I just need the hose replaced.

Exact same issue I have with my 2005 W220 s320cdi, every so often after not being driven for 2-3 days the drivers side front seems to sink, if left longer it comes up on dash, do not drive take to workshop etc. 2 specialists have give me 2 Separate issues, 1. Compressor, 2. Strut but both no don't know for sure and obviously there is an expense involved which I want to avoid. Should I suggest the Mann filter change first or valve change or clean ? I love my 18 year old car without the latest TV screens which I absolutely hate !! Thanks

How about checking very oil charge and see from your eyes if it’s dirty enough to charge. Some air filter can last up to a year

I have sort of similar issue when I park my car GL 550 2009, I hear the air releasing also when driving with open windows slow I can hear on every bump on the road or when I press breaks air releasing but my car stays same height but this makes compressor works, would replacing the filter resolve my issue if not can you guide me what should I do next

Need help the wd 40 trick didn't work...

100% wrong. This filter is used as a fuel filter in some cars. The only reason for the directionality is to visually be able to see if the filter is getting dirty. THATS IT. It’s NOT a one way check valve.or a diode.

this is very confusing. the arrow points toward the short tube, not the long tube that goes into the compressor. what gives? is the air coming out of the compressor? that doesn't make any sense. why would they filter the exiting air?

I have 15k miles and my air filter still looks brand new! It’s not about mileage but where you live and drive. Make sure you check it every oil change to see if it needs replacing is the best rule of thumb . Same with cabin air filter

I own a CAAD 5 R700 also I purchased it new in 2002 and still ride it regularly. I love the classic look with the rear seat stays at the top tube level. It’s been awesome for me for 20 years and I plan an upgrade on the original 105 group set to Ultegra or Campy Record mechanical this year. Why buy new when it’s still getting me up mountains and flying on the flats. You have a great bike kelp stomping the pedals and logging the miles!!!!
