Thanks for this awesome video on the history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. My great ancestors were Anthony Colby and his wife Suzanna Anthony helped found Amesburry and Salisbury MA as well as other surrounding towns around the area. Most of my My family still reside in Massachusetts ❤

Buchanan, the undeserving scapegoat for other shitty presidents since 1861 (in the sense that he shouldn't be seen so much as the worst president in history).

They knew the boat was neutral in the conflict and they knew it was not carrying any Chinese Nationalist Troops. Even when they boarded the ship shortly before the premeditated bombing, they already knew. The ship was carrying refugees, American refugees, not military personnel. America was not ready yet for war, but began to prepare after this atrocity. Some Americans could see what was coming. Japan made no mistake about it as they had been expanding for the previous 5 years. This was like Hitlers expansion in Europe.

American nationalistic mythmaking. The first major war where railroads played a critical role was the war in Italy in 1859, where the French moved much larger forces, much quicker than any railroad move during the civil war.

SAD is that president John F Kennedy was killed :(, not that a racist man had to step aside from the entrance of a public university that received money from african american tax payers as well.

HI. Thanks for this. I think the boat at 2:20 is not the right one though. Verrazano's boat had three masts. This is a boat from the 18th century I guess.

I love Buchanan.Remember a lot of northern folk simply wanted to let the south go.No sane person ever wants war.Buchanan was instrumental in America purchasing Alaska. He built up our fleet.Buchanan never condemned any young men to death. His successor however did 600,000 of them.

Stop loving Buchanan! He’s a stubborn, passive, and disgraceful American traitor for refusing to solve the slavery issue and help divide the nation by bullying the Supreme Court in ruling out the Dred Scott Decision. He never purchased Alaska. He also tried to buy Cuba and Kansas as slave states which nearly caused him to get impeached for this

The Debacle of the Bay of Pigs made this happen. Shamed Director Alan Dulles deceived JFK, and because of this failure, the USSR placed Nukes in Cuba. JFK did exactly what he had to do without the Threat of an all-out Nuclear War to prevent a Nuclear Holocaust. What a Great POTUS he was. So sad that he was cut down that day in Dallas. So sad that we then, under LBJ's direction started a 10-year War in Vietnam.

The first false flag attack that failed. Reports indiciated that even the chinese actively shot up these boats in the river constantly the fact that the Japanese simple were accurate doesnt say much for the american crew who was protecting chinese criminals. In fact America protected all the criminals in Asia. Everyone who murdered children and women, america protected.

Americans were more outraged at the sinking of the Panay than the wholesale rape and slaughter of 200,000+ Chinese civilians including women and children in Nanjing.
