So much could have worked. Mini stories aren't shit done right. You do the tank guys. Shit, how good was Terminus? That story is excellent. But no. Darrabont wanted it. *Sighs

While the Walking Dead gets some (deserved) criticisms, a lot of the worldbuilding that's sprinkled in, like these campfire tales and the environmental lore is honestly so well done.

Honestly, if something like this happened IRL I think that a lot of parents would make choices like this. I think it’s not the BEST choice but it’s understandable.

Thanks for covering the 3rd story. I always wondered about it. But in my own opinion, Salazar's plan could have backfired horribly on himself and his family.

For Eastman to say that he had only ever met 1 true evil person, it makes you wonder which character would come along that would fit his description. Charming, manipulative, puts on a face. But, we had already seen the first, and only truly evil character introduced in season 3. The Governor was the only character introduced in The Walking Dead that fit those descriptions, because he *was* Too Far Gone.

I had no idea about the third story because World Beyond was the one instance I wasn't strong enough to tolerate watching something past episode one lol. So thank you for covering it. And absolutely a follow-up would be amazing. I don't know if Maggie's story or the 2000 people turning to zombies was worse.

Eastman, I get. In a way, I even agree with his actions. If it were my family, I think I might be as brutal. Scary, but just being honest. The Arena is understandable too. It was horrific, but not having the knowledge of exactly how things were going down, the actions of Andy were understandable. Remember in 17 miles out when Shane couldn't figure out why the security guards had turned when there were no bites or scratches... so even that far in, no one really knew... As far as the attic. In this world, the dead are the least dangerous enemy. They are predictable... and easily dealt with in smaller numbers, of course... I wish "Monument Day" could be more dealt with. It just seems inconceivable that everything went to crap on one day... It takes time for people to turn. It's not like half the population went walker overnight rendering the military, police, and the general population impotent. That was my hope with the creation of Fear... we would gt to see the gradual disintegration of things. Instead, we got another time jump, and even that didn't seem too severe, until the day the bombed the hell out of everything... remember the drive they did to Victor's place? No huge roaming hoards of walkers... a few fires her and there, but it seemed more deserted than anything. Just doesn't make sense to me...

The second story was the most disturbing because the fact that old man kept those women as like prizes of sorts, I forgot about this story ngl. Eastman’s campfire story was sad too since that’s what made him the person he was when he met and helped Morgan. The third one was sad and poetic as well since all those people died but then got the revenge like you mentioned as walkers. I’m looking forward to more stories in the future! Would you do any stories about the comics or telltale games?

This video was BRILLIANT! 🤩 I like this channel and near enough all of its content, but one thing I will say is that TWD breakdown channels are a dime a dozen, where this channel really rises above the others are vids like this and the environmental storytelling breakdowns you do. I appreciate things like that aren’t an infinite resource to make videos about, but coming out with this as something new to the environmental storytelling breakdowns you do shows you have it in you and in this channel to find ways to stand out from the competition and do things others aren’t doing. Bravo Ty 👏👏👏

I think you did great I think the showrunners did poorly. The Pink Room scene is a ham-fisted effort to provoke horror and sadness. Robert Kirkman (the writer behind Issue 60) knew there had to be a story behind a murdered kid, it wasn't complex or thought provoking but it was there.

Whats worrying me is the one with the half mannequin body. Why is her shirt undone? Was it caused when her body was cut? If so why did they cut it? Or: if they violated her why did they go further beyond to cut her in half?
