I have some question about Semantic Model. Can I use semantic model from lakehouse to create new paraemeter? In my semantic model I can't create New Column and New Table. How can I create them?

How do you specify precision on a datetime column in this table? I can see that these columns create a datetime2(6) data type, but the dates I’m needing to link to in my database are datetime2(0).

The same measure is showing correct value on power bi cards but using the same measures on clustered bar chart across schools its giving some extra 4 values when it’s getting exported in excel No of Student = var x = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT(Table[student ID])) return IF(ISBLANK(x),0,x)

In Excel you might be doing a sum. Power Bi do DISTINCTCOUNT again for Grand Total/Card, it is not sum of rows.

Yes, you can. Additionally, you can consider using a date table like we do in HR, joining with both dates and using USERELATIONSHIP for inactive joins. Power BI Desktop tool is not required. But in Case you prefer to create report on Desktop, you can use that.

Yes, I agree. Looking at how good the video quality and word flow are, I'm afraid I would have had to do it a few times, and then finally editing would have made it possible. In Power BI, most of our videos require screen recordings with knowledge sharing, so we can still think there's some time before AI can do that. But if the content is only verbal and needs to be merged with videos and images, then AI can do that much faster. So, it is challenging.

Yes, It copies the data, unless we are using shortcuts. It stores data on Onelake(ADLS Gen2).

Hello Amit, that is wonderful thanks for sharing, at 18:42 you had mentioned that using the lookup activity is not the best practice if the table is very large, and you mentioned using a table approach, can you elaborate more on that? would having a script activity after the copy activity that will query the copied table, and get the maximum date stored in a table in the lakehouse, and then you directly lookup from that table be a possibility?

hello, I have added data into lakehouse through Gen2 from sharepoint and then want to model the tables, however for two tables, I need many to many relationship, but there is no option for this, how can i achieve this in fabric? Also if I connect the model to Power Bi desktop and want to change the relationship to many to many it would be converted to import locale mode, however i want it in direct/live connection, your inputs please thanks

Please create a custom semantic model; you can have it there. But be careful, as many-to-many relationships sometimes do not work as expected. I have already shared this feedback with support team.
