Dude, those are the masks of the people from the Global Community. Just... run the Dead Ends again, second section. Or take a really good look at them at the Last Dregs as part of the Omicron Tribal quests. They have masks like that in red and blue and what is *purple* if not red and blue combined? Though the Allagan idea is legitimately possible, yes. But I'm *seriously* getting Global Community vibes. The ones who defeated sickness only to fall victim to rivalries amongst themselves. I have *long* wondered if there had previously been a third faction in their world that vanished for some reason.

I believe Graha volunteered to stay behind to handle Students of Baldesion business so Krile could go.

My big prediction that I've also seen other people predict, is not Allagans, but the people that died out in the second calamity. It was the calamity of lightning, and all their attacks look like lightning. We don't know much about that time, but we know it was pre-magic, pre-gods, and advanced.

Trailers can be full of red herrings, as we've seen all the way back to Heavensward. It can be no different here with voice lines over unrelated cinematic clips, but it's still fun to theorize. Alisaie got the Blessing of the Kojin, so she should be OK underwater, but STORMY SEAS pose another danger of waves throwing her against the side of the ship. Or the ship leaving her behind. Alphinaud doesn't have the blessing, so tackling her to the deck when both of them could go over is very brave of him. It could also be a Siren Song Sea situation where something gets on the deck and Alisaie is standing in the AoE. One detail I quickly noticed is that the Dawnservant's claws are shiny and the rest of the feet so not. The metal bands on the ankle wraps are even reflective! Really looking forward to the graphics updates hitting older expansions. I have other theories about the City of Gold, but nobody wants to hear that :P

My friends stopped me from launching to Ultimate Thule at 5AM. Like they BEGGED me to wait til the next day cause they know I wouldn’t stop. I waited, went through all the quests, and was like “I see what’s happening and I don’t like it” then the Endwalker Buff appeared and I just…left my keyboard, laid on my bed and stared into the ceiling without realizing I fell asleep from the emotional backlash and waiting for the people who wished to experience this again. When I woke up, my friends had joined me in the discord call while I was asleep. They booked it to Ultima Thule when I said I stopped at the beginning of the Endwalk from exhaustion and knowing they wanted to be there and walked with me though I couldn’t see them. When the final dungeon opened, they were there in front of it like “let’s finish it together.” I was in TATTERS trying not to bawl my eyes out. If I had to forget one game to experience it anew, it would be this game. Hands down. Just because of THIS part.

The end of the game is already super heavy, I can't imagine how it must feel to walk by past iterations of yourself on your way to the end. I normally say Ultima Thule is best experienced completely alone, but that is a definite exception.
