When they pick a best man utd team, what people see too forgett is George Best was the greatest player in the world between 1965 to 1972 easy! Best made pele look boring! Or do you take out Bobby Charlton? No way. Bobby was just brilliant to watch. See the way he slowed the game down or made it faster. Thats only the real greats that can do that. And the way he just sent players the wrong way with his back to them so it gave him an extra 4 yards to do what he wanted. Then they goals that took the nets of the crossbar were just a joy. If sir Alex was here he would take Cristiano Ronaldo over George best, Eric cantona, Roy Keane etc. And don't forget Cristiano Ronaldo was the only one player who has received ballon d'or for Manchester United and even he has destroyed 64+ players of Manchester United. He is simply the best bec at that time no other player was better than him he used to create chances and even entertain the people of old Trafford by his skills and tricks. Great video. I was shocked how much the obviously 50+ year-old footage looked like the modern game. It’s different, to be sure, but it had pace and skill and the players look like they could at least hold their own against today’s best. American football and basketball players of the same era always look like they’d get absolutely wrecked by modern players, but I didn’t get that feeling in this video.

To be fair it's to difficult to pick an eleven because I could pick an eleven just as good! Robo, Edwards, ronaldo, Law ect but I must admit I liked that eleven.

I would go for; Schmeichel Wan Bissaker Stam Buchan Irwin Best Charlton Edwards Giggs Cantona Van Nistelrooy (Dennis Law only just missing out) If I had subs then; Taylor Law Robson Kanchelskis Keane Scholes Ronaldo I have picked a team out of the United teams who I thought were the best in their position and a formation that could win things. This is of all the United teams not just modern day players where people forget how good other people were, or players who are popular. For instance not many people really mentions Nobby Stiles, Willie Morgan or one I have chosen in Martin Buchan. He was like our best defender and a great captain but because he was not part of a team that won multiple leagues or cups he is never mentioned. Look how Buchan got us back up, it's ridiculous to exclude him. The people making these lists mustn't know that much about Manchester United. Why does noone remember Andrei Kanchelskis, it's like he barely existed, he was an awesome player, he went wide and also cut in towards goal before Cristiano did. Kanchelskis was quicker than Ronaldo with the ball at his feet (that's saying something as Cristiano was lightning just like Lee Sharpe), he also had better ball control and had subtle nuances like Scholes did yet you'd think Kanchelskis was a nobody. I love Ferdinand and Vidic but I also love Bruce and Pallister whom people seem to be forgetting and yet Paul McGrath played for us. I don't know how people are choosing defenders! Cristiano is good and has gone on to do more but the way people talk I just don't get it. He is a fantastic all round player, is quick and can do some exceptional things. However he is still not the ultimate player as some make out. Giggs is like one of the best dribblers we've had, just like George Best and technically they are better than Ronaldo at close ball control, dribbling and have better intuition and balance. Ronaldo is great and all-round one of the best ever but people hardly mention or recognise strengths or weaknesses in people. Tommy Taylor is never mentioned, Mark Hughes is never mentioned. I personally believe Hughes is a better all round striker than most of our strikers. Soskjaer is the best at one v one and in those instances the most clinical. Nobby Stiles won the world cup. It seems only teams of Fergie's era or obvious Busby Legends get mentioned. There's no space in anyone's brain to recognise the likes of Steve Coppell. Even Bryan Robson is getting written off in history maybe because his best days weren't under Fergie and he never won as much. Just for the record if there was a list of our midfielders who played like that it would be Edwards, (although he was more than that) Bryan Robson, Keane, Stiles (who's Makelele or Kante) and then Paul Ince, in that order. Then certain comedians would try and convince you that Gerrard or Lampard are on this level. It's a strange world and statistics are not all they seem to be. People would have you believe Brazilian Ronaldo is worse than Alan Shearer or Vardy is better than Van Nistelrooy. I think Gary Neville has given an extraordinary account of himself in a Manchester United shirt. I chose Aaron over him though for certain qualities so it's not to disrespect or discredit Neville. There's even people going around saying Pele was overrated when that bullshit couldn't be more opposite, he's the most underrated player in history because he didn't have people to copy and learn the skills from. Pele showed what was possible. Paul Scholes even said Veron was better than Cantona. Maybe I imagined Cantona in my head then. I just really feel that the greats are not recognised, it's all a lot of hype and people wouldn't even consider Duncan Edwards as a contender for the best player, not even consider Duncan Edwards. Let that sink in.
