the input trigger for healing is actually tied to the flask drinking animation so it only triggers if u heal or fp charge so using physique flask and incantations dont trigger him

@6:38 - I found that contrary to moving during this attack to parry, just totally letting go of the analog stick (provided I was close enough) was a far easier and more consistent way to parry it. ANYTIME she twirls, I just stood still. If it's a kick, no biggie, thing barely does damage. If it's the strike, I could parry it at the last second without moving. The only thing is this requires you to be right in her face. I religiously perused this guide multiple times over the 10 hours it took me to learn to parry Malenia. It's an incredible guide, beautifully put together and so aurally pleasing.

I’m a year late, but for anyone having trupele getting the lord of blood’s exultation, equip the beast repellant torch in your offhand and it will trivialize the fight.

Thank you I haven’t beat him yet but I know I can do it, I’m not really stuck in his first phase so much I keep getting caught on his second phase. But even then he’s almost dead I just get greedy. I’m doing better though.

I remember I used to call the 3 DarkSouls, ParrySouls, BlockSouls and DodgeSouls respectively. The first one parrying made everything easy and you basically 2 shot the last boss with it. The second one the timing just felt off but blocking had almost no downside, felt like you lost barely any stamina. Dark Souls 3 felt like it just wanted you to roll through everything because it was very rarely punished.

The morgott "parry" thing that makes you invincible actually works 1/3 times on malenia's 1-2 quick tap. I helped a lot of player to defeat to boss to parry only and i can 100% guarrenty you that this happen at least 1 time every fight

Tutto il sistema di combattimento fa schifo, persino l'assegnazione dei tasti fa schifo, fa schifo anche la visuale ed il sistema di agganciamento. Tutto è molto lento e macchinoso ed il ritardo nell'esecuzione dei comandi è praticamente ovunque, c'è da aggiungere che molto spesso non registra nemmeno l'input. Non è sicuramente un gioco fatto per giocarci da ps5. 😂😂😂

I think this is a sign from the universe that I should indeed parry Malenia to death. Right as I have started to learn parrying Malenia, this video is in my YT recommendation. That goddamn 1-2 attack you featured is THE ONE that keeps getting me. I am either too early (trying to preemptively predict it) or too late (coz it comes so fast). I've maybe parried it twice or thrice in hour and half attempts I did yesterday. But now I know that it is indeed part of practice and experience. Great video and thank you for the advice <3
