you must ask the reason why so many condo owner rather sell at a big lost than to just keep since it 's Freehold Condo, then there must be reason why owner are so deep set to sell. i tell you why. You cannot tahan the overbearing condo management team , property manager and how unfair is the malaysia law. even COB and High court are not protecting owner. the JMB can sue you for something like adding water pipe in high court and you got to pay rm100k to get a lawyer to defend you and pay legal cost of another party . Unguardedd landed property you don't pay any mgmt to look over your shoulder and some evil neigbhour complain about your renovation.

All boils down to - stability and liquidity. In any investment if you doubt the stability and the liquidity (cash up and run) is doubtful, then it will be a bad investment.

No thanks. Seem too many colosseum in Malaysia in the past when developers go bust and abandone the projects. Forest city is another example. Renting on the other hand is ok. Let the investors take the risk and fund the tenant to enjoy new projects. Thank you.

Why? Foreigner can only buy property priced at 1 million and above. Most of them can't afford to buy unless is really meant for investment purpose.

Can buy in Malaysia. But cannot live and stay unless you have MM2H. Unless you are thinking of using it as an expensive weekend home - speaking from experience owning 5 properties there

No logic and not to the point at all. Singaporeans have great eagerness to buy a lot of property specially in Johore & profitting. In fact too much buying of property by Singapireans are not reccommended. Thanks to Malaysian govt to have controls over buy/sell of properties by foreigners as can be seen the current too high then collapses of property market in China and citizens are suffering.

Forest city is meant for foreigners with deep pockets. To Singaporean is nothing due to their strong currency & high salary. Other foreign nationals too should take advantage of it as M'sia offers a lot of access to the SEA economic region. HSR direct from S'pore through JB/Forest City & to KL should compliment the vibrancy. Govt policy must be streamlined in a fast track to entice the foreigner. M'sia govt must do a comparative research from other SEA countries in term of pricing mechanism & land ownership.

It simply can't compare lah. MY is big n Singapore is small. That's why Singapore is expensive as every per foot count $$$$. But at least our HDB repaint every 5 years and even upgraded. This so call bird cage Never look old leh. Well maintained.

Actually, there are loopholes where Malaysians can buy property in Singapore. Just attain PR in Singapore, buy a resale flat then rent it out and stay in JB. Once the property prices go up, value of the house goes up, sell and upgrade then repeat the process, Singapore is a place to build passive income. Use CPF as an advantage.

I would say we will see our CPF money in the future and Singapore government is probably one of the best in the world so my opinion we can trust them. Whether to use CPF money for your property (private/HDB) is up to individual needs and the property you intend to buy. For me I will use it because I am building my future incomes in other ways but for people who doesn't care much about their finances then is better let our government to keep aside for you and also paying you the interest.
