One question, with the flat push dinks, is your wrist cocked up or cocked down? I notice your wrist is cocked down. When hitting flat dinks consistently, is it better to have your wrist cocked down? Thanks!

By bending your knees and lifting up on the shot allows you to accelerate the pendulum, this allows you create more topspin and in return you can hit the ball much harder with greater safety. Mass x acceleration= Force. This knowledge came from my great tennis coach that revolutionized the game of tennis, Oscar Wegner! Former Coach of 3x French open champion Gustavo Kuerten..

You missed one important aspect. In tennis, rotate starting from your hip. Most of the power is generated through your legs, hip, then supported with your arm in motion. If you play tennis, bring that knowledge into this sport to dominate.

I've hit that shot 100,000 times.😂😂😂😂😂 Here I am, I think I played a total of probably 100 times. Never "practiced" or drilled. I hit off the wall maybe, maybe ten times. Never played tennis or racquet sports. I'm wondering if I'm ready to play in 4.0 tournaments. Serious. In all fairness, I've spent 10X more time watching videos than actually being on the court due to being injured much of the time. I'm like Data that way. I can practice in my mind.😄

The question is... why no one does a toss serve? It would add extra power and potentially spin, no?
@pickleballplaybook4 күн бұрын
What’s a toss serve?
@dbweb.creative4 күн бұрын
do a high toss (so high that it potentially hits a flying goose or two) on a volley serve. I understand that it's a bit more difficult to hit the ball this way, but I'd think pros got that covered. So I wonder why no one is doing a high toss on a volley serve, wouldn't it add more spin and speed? Or is it dubious from the "no-spin on toss" rule side of things?
@pickleballplaybook4 күн бұрын
It’d be coming back down with more speed but how would that add more outward speed exactly? (Pros can’t toss the ball at all, they have to drop it). Thanks for your explanation!
@dbweb.creative4 күн бұрын
hmm where is the rule that prohibits tossing upward on a volley serve? It would add more outward speed because a faster incoming ball will bring its own energy, the rebound would be stronger.

I am a highly ranked player, but it amazes me how many rec players cannot follow the ball correctly and do not hit floaters hard enough. Another thing they do is return the serve then run up to the kitchen and hit short stuff letting the serving team get to the kitchen easily. Just dumb.

Can we first establish the HIPS AND WAIST the band around his body is at HIS waist, hips are the sides of your legs not at your waist at all. Hips around would include your butt, waist is in naval area above the hips where a belt would ideally go. ESTABLISH THAT first then decide where ball hand arms should be

When explaining open stance (vs. closed stance) you say that you prefer rotating your non-dominant leg back rather than the dominant leg forward. I agree that you can get as much rotation, but you are moving backwards, which contradicts point three that you make, to move forward during the serve. You are detracting from the total speed of the serve by subtracting your body motion from your arm motion rather than adding the two together.
@pickleballplaybook6 күн бұрын
Though your leg is moving backwards your momentum continues to move forwards. You still fall into the court after serving. Watch where I end Up after serving at the very end of the video. Inside the court

@pickleballplaybook7 күн бұрын
Most the time, but a cross court speed up (contrary to popular belief) is a great shot if you hit the right location. If you go across the body of your opponent it can be very effective. When drilling with two people, you can’t get that down the line practice when you’re dinking cross court, but it’s still good practice!
