Could be tightened a bit more ever so slightly. Heavy load bearings with heavy grease need that actually to last longer
@garysprojects6 сағат бұрын
Won’t it grind on the bearings though ?

I've run into the same problem, several times, where you just can't get a socket over that damn nut. Finally I ground down, nearly flat, the jaws of some cheapy needle nose pliers. The pliers are now too weak for anything but grasping pedal innards. Like my bikes this method is ugly but effective,

Nice ! That’s cool. Yeah what’s with the nut , do they make some sort of special socket tool just for pedals !?

Nice job! I wanted to do something similar a month ago, but I found out that some ultra cheap pedals come with no bearings, just an axle and two "washers" that hold the plastic body. Gave them some ptfe grease nonetheless, now they are a bit less draggy
@garysprojectsКүн бұрын
Haha wow ! Just washers , hope they spun alright 👍
@claudiofiero8523Күн бұрын
@@garysprojects not at all lol, but the pedals are the last problem of that bike, the bb needs replacement (or maybe maintenance, it wouldn't surprise me to find a non-sealed one), but the chain guard has some stuck bolts and even one of the pedals doesn't want to move, plus the tires are very dried out. The only good thing is that it has a front basket so sometimes i go to the supermarket with it 😂 (best workout ever, the bad bb makes me feel any hill or flat like climbing a vertical wall)
