I have done everything to my 2012 Abarth that you've done, but in the US,and I'm thrilled and can't believe the acceleration and the stopping power. Had my Brembos on for over 7 years and never change pads. That's because I don't just stomp on my brakes,I pump them when ever I want to stop or slow down. I actually outran an Audi A3 the driver was shocked.

I ordered my 695 too late in 2022, actually 2 days before they stopped accepting orders for 22, so i was still lucky to get one in rally blue instead of orange, as i like green and blue colors more; but i was not only unlucky in that i couldn't get a 595 competizione in adrenalina green anymore, but also i couldn't get the competizione package any more as they stopped offering the lsd for my23. Good thing about this is that my22 without the competizione package came with the softer, cloth covered gt version of the sabelt seats, wich you have too, whereas the competizione package has the leatherette race version of those seats; but now i don't have a factory lsd and i will have to get an aftermarket one at some point. I read into this before ordering the car and i know that the ttc is basically a worse performing replacement of a locking diff, as it uses the breaks to emulate the function. But so far i haven't used it, because i am a bit stressed about the idea of wearing down my breaks quicker and unevenly, as they have to effectively fight the engine on the inner tire, while going around the corner. But at high speed (around 150-200 km/h on unrestricted parts of the german highway) i do most definitely feel the car understeering. A friend of mine who drove it, who didn't have any prior exprerience with high performance versions of wrong wheel drive cars, was also caught a bit by surprise, as he had to steer harder on the bend when he accelerated to about 150 km/h. This year, now that i finally got the car after 14 months of waiting from the date of order to the delivery, i plan to go out on tourist drives on the nordschleife. While i am a beginner and i won't be pushing it anyway and go way too slow on my first laps, i still feel a bit nervous about the understeer; but i'm also a bit afraid of voiding the warranty on a brand new car, by getting an aftermarket diff installed. After a couple of laps i want to try one with ttc on to sse the difference, but i do feel uneasy about the idea of over wearing and most importantly overheating the front breaks.
@arautosspecialists18 күн бұрын
Just be careful with the TTC, as I mentioned in my experience, at high speeds, it can just stop working which gives you a very fast amount of understeer in a scary moment! It's great for gripping roundabouts and hard corners at lower speeds.

Just as a tip on the Monza exhaust, there is a little cable you can just unplug ontop in the engine bay, the valve stays permanently open then. There are a few videos on YT that show where.

Do some research on the turbo conversion before making the leap! You're bang on the money, the IHI is so good for little to no lag, just be careful with the upgrade to the TD04, the lag might feel double as bad compared to what you have now! :)

I appreciate the honesty. I will definitely not get the Forge Induction kit for my Abarth then. I have a 2019 595 T-jet and I use it as a daily. I've got BMC filter and blow-off valve and it's also de-catted with down-pipe. That "hoover" noise will definitely annoy me. I already love the noises it makes with blow-off etc. Usually drive it in normal mode where the throttle mapping is less aggressive. Only use sport mode for those "special" moments. All I need now is a stage 1 remap tune and I'll stop there. Would rather buy the comp next. Great video thanks!

Just picked up our new car uesterday, 2015 avarth 595. 140bhp i want to say? Not read up much about them. What mods would need doing to be able to get the 200bph mark? Obviously the comp is standard 180bhp so whats actually dofferent?
@arautosspecialists4 ай бұрын
That's great news! :) The 145bhp standard comes with an IHI turbo charger, the 180bhp Competition comes with a larger Garrett turbo. The IHI turbos we know can hit 190bhp, but you need to make sure the engine is safe to do so. Adding a better air intake & a remap will get you to the 180bhp mark, but each engine is unique. If you're local to Bishops Waltham, we can help you design & modify your vehicle :)

@arautosspecialists thanks gor the reply! I'm going to take apart the intake this weekend. It's got a sticker on but for the life of me I can't remember what brand it was till I get back to the car. Great little vids, you really know your stuff, thanks. I watched a recent one where you discussed the noise on the Forge aftermarket intake and I couldn’t agree more. Budget wise, I couldn’t stretch to a new intake, so thought I’d try and modify the Forge one bringing the intake trumpet back under the bonnet from in the scuttle. I simply shortened the pipe and made a bracket to support the filer housing. 90% of the annoying high pitch intake noise has gone, and there’s no discernible reduction in performance. Win, win, win 👍
