I've just fitted my Impey Aqua deck, great product and easy to fit! I will be plaster boarding next (using Elements type board), and will then tank with the WaterGuard kit, including the whole floor area of 2.1 x 2.7m. However, I am also fitting the loose cable Prowarm ProGrid+ system as fitted by Roger here (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNWhqtykmN_He5c.html). For this you need to fit the matting down that the cable runs in and I was planning on running this into the shower area - is it OK to fix that matting down on top of the waterguard kit with kst, and then tile on top of the matting? The matting is 6mm so I would need to account for that, plus adhesive, plus tile when setting the drain grate. I did email your tech team a few weeks back with this question but haven't heard back from them.

Can you use ditra matting insulation on top of this and the install the tiles?

Whoever did mine before I moved in did a piss poor job and a half. Laid down wooden flooring, got so soaked, was like walking on wet pillows, till it collapsed! A council contractor just started yesterday on mine removing the soaking wet wood pulp down to the concrete base. He's waiting on some screed & materials to arrive, hopefully tomorrow! When I plastered outside walls, I used plasterciser, thick latex liquid mixed in with the cement. Is plasterciser not used in wet rooms to help waterproof? Contractor told me screed would be dry in 2 hours. 2 hours?! really?! The surveyor said once concreted and dried, latex would be poured over to waterproof, though from the last time my kitchen floor was done, it took overnight to dry. Then, new blue vinyl will go on top of that, sealed around the edges. Drain is already in place with a 12 vdc pump. I was expecting a new drainage pump system. Think I would have preferred ceramic tiles to vinyl. Waited nearly a year now to get it completed! That's the caancill for ya!

Do you not require a subfloor to be fitted for tiling?

Can this go beneath mesh, tile glue and microcement?

About 5 minutes in the way you’ve fixed down that floor is shocking 10 inches plus between screws, the narrow strip between tray and wall is definitely going to move, I wouldn’t be happy if this was installed in my house

What if the wall tiles are not being removed and your replacing a standard tray with an impey easy fit on concrete floor

Thanks. It would have been more useful to film you actually doing stuff rather than cutting to complete..e.g. fitting the corners for the tanking to show your method...they are really fiddly and sticky.

the heat matt is a mess, why in the cupboard? basically the heat matt was too big for the room
