A very famous musician, singer and composer in Brazil (Renato Russo), created the modern version of this song using only the instrumental in reference to medieval times. The song is called "A Ordem dos Templários" by the band "Legião Urbana" of which he was a member. I like both the modern version and the original!

Something is wrong with that vocal recording. Think the two voices should be panned separately. Then a third voice comes in and it is properly panned. I get it, but I would have panned the first to voice 70% right for male, 70% left for female, with the 3rd vocal 30% left. Sorry for being critical, the song is lovely and the instrumentation is perfect. Maybe I have been spending too much time in the studio. lolz

I love the instruments, their sound and the costumes, yet the lead singer sings very out of tune sadly

she sings "out of tune" precisely because the instruments aren't tuned to an equal temperament, singing "in tune" isn't exactly a thing in 1340, and she does a wonderful job. What you are describing is actually because of the instruments you said you loved.
