Very personally, I vastly prefer WorldBorne, even with its… vast.. issues. But the hate Rise got did make me sad. It just doesn’t really do it for me personally, but it’s still a great game. And Sunbreak fixed like…. Literally everything. I don’t know if I’ll ever love RiseBreak to the same unhealthy degree I did with WorldBorne, but I’m honestly so glad it’s getting more recognition and praise! Even when it’s not my favorite, Monster Hunter just doesn’t miss!

This video aged poorly. DD2 is the same dogshit DD1 was, same exact problems. They could have taken the best of this game, fix the problems but Nooo, they HAD to put the same exact stupid mechanics in there. Again. The same stupid romance mechanic, the same stupid absence of fast travel (don't let me yap about portcrystals and ferrystones) , the same stupid weight mechanic. Everything. Even the story is less interesting. I don't know, a part of me loves both games, but the other completely despise them. I love the immersion, the gameplay, the exploration, but if you can forgive DD1 for its clunkiness, you can't forgive DD2, because after 10 years they just showed they learnt nothing. This could have been one of the best games of the decade, but they decide to create a mid game. There are brilliant ideas in this game that make you scream "That's a 10/10" and others that make you want to end your life in that right moment.

Fun Fact: The End can die of old age if you make the fight last too long, also you can collect a sniper rifle early and kill him ahead of his scheduled boss fight and bypass the fight entirely.

And it was one of the worst games I ever played, but at least the story was a little interesting near the end. Near the end I was all set to rescue my wife and...it was the blacksmith. I literally gave a betrothal ring that said I'd be forever linked with them and the FREAKIN Blacksmith disappears from my game and I wonder where he went and then I see him being attacked by goblins and my character acts like the love of her life is dying... THATS NOT ALINA YOU IDIOT HES GOT A BEARD!

Try to play DA2 on Nightmare, face bosses like Xebenkeck and tell me again that game is only about clicking the enemies. Most people who criticize that combat played the game on casual, on nightmare the combat is one of the most engaging and tactical, not for everyone, but definitely a good combat system. Also it's the only game on the series where combat is challenging from the beginning to the end, DAO and DAI get super easy once you have your build completed, and the DLCs on DA2 at later levels are nightmarish.

I’m so glad to know that I wasn’t the only one who got blue balled by the “dearly beloved” mechanic…. I ended up with Aldous… because the whole quest with Fournival involves you getting evidence of his crimes to prove him either innocent or guilty, what I didn’t know was that the evidence actually counted as a gift, you could imagine my surprise seeing a guy who I wasn’t trying to romance making out with my character by a fire. Thanks Itsuno

The sequel is out and it definitely is one of the RPG games ever made...

Literally stopped playing Rise because they made the Foresight Slash feel bad, and long sword just did too much damage. Also the Talisman grind can fuck right off. 500 hours on the Switch to get the perfect Talisman, and no cross saves?! Haven't touched Rise since before Sunbreak, and have since played about 500 more hours of World. Just wish that World had Quick Sheathe for Long Sword Special Sheathe.
