It would create so much exhaust gas turbulence and an overall reduftion in exhaust gas velocity. In short you would lose a lot of power and the bike would run rough.

I took all the baffles out, so it's louder and more free flowing. See the other two videos I put up.

Hi Jason, it makes it louder, but not excessively. Gives it that nice low down V2 bark and at speed it's only slightly more audible than standard. I think the mods is worth it as some of the vibrations around 3k became much less pronounced and the bike to my seat of 5he pants pulled much cleaner through the upper rpm ranges.

It was a Toyota W58 box with a locally cast conversion bell housing. Clutch was just the normal 20V clutch with a Cressida 7M release bearing.

The point is better sound, what other point would there be? No issues with engine management, no check engine lights and no strange behaviour. Engine revs a little more freely and there was a vibration around 3.5-4k which seems to less pronounced now as well. Fuel consumption seems slightly beter to. None of these were the reason though, other than hearing that beautiful v-twin sound and still keeping the stock look. For now. Most importantly, because I can...

@@FrancoisRouxChannel ok thx. I had an china aftermarket exhaust that was very simple build, and after installation i had problems with the engine some as clutch slipping and power reduction. The exhaust made a better sound but wasnt performed for the V strom some how.
