I have noticed that there are less bugs around recently. Bug hotels are really cute and also practical at the same time It helps repopulate your gardens while being disguised as a cute hotel

Hello there! Seymour and Esther are definitely not full Atlantic giants. They could have been cross pollinated with another type of pumpkin or squash, perhaps. This would have been from wherever you got the seeds. Now the little yellow one looks like it's an atlantic. Thought I would pass that info on. That doesn't mean that they won't get big. If they have some Atlantic giant in them, they could still grow from what I've been told. Look forward to following along and seeing what the pumpkins do. 👍🏻

Thanks for the insight.... I am interested to see how large the green ones get as I agree, they are not Atlantic dill. I will keep you posted.

@MacGardenStyle sounds good. I'm interested to see how they turn out as well. It looks like they have an interesting look to them, so might be pretty neat looking pumpkins by the time they're done. 👍🏻

If it's not actually a tree, then tell me what a tree actually is. 😋

I would define a tree as a plant with single or multi stems with woody properties. Hardwood or softwoods. But I acknowledge, I am using a narrow definition of a tree.

Biodegradable potting containers are great unless you want to plant or germimate something slow growing like strawberries for example, then these will begin to mold like crazy.

So I have a friend that gave me 2 Amaryllis about 3 yrs ago and I never really paid attention to what they were till recently. Once I found out what they are I started looking into how to care for them. I've never gotten any blooms from them only the long green leaves. They were in 2 small pots so I thought I might have better luck with them blooming if I put them in the ground. I live in FL so it's generally warm most of the year. I did plant them individually but side by side. I supported the leaves gave them water but now the leaves are dying. I have a pretty good green thumb so it's very depressing that they seem to be dying. What am I doing wrong? I should pull them out of the ground and pot them again or are they just stressed behind being put in the ground and they will eventually start to take off. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for sharing the garden from the perspective of your own lens and personal confessions. I’ve seen the gardens through the lens of many different individuals, all British but you and the Rose Geek. I’m finding that different people see different things in the same view. The many vagaries of beauty, seemingly limitless, are indeed in the eyes of the beholder. Be well dear Sir. Continue to enjoy the Handiwork of Our Loving Creator. God’s Peace Rest upon you.
