I had the privilege to work with Robert at the centre for continuing education. Hard to accept that he is no longer with us. Articulate, witty and passionate about the arts. The light that burns bright burns fast. It was a privilege to know him.

This is one of my absolute favourite portraits. It’s simply incredible; somehow timeless. Incredible. I know he’s an important gentleman, but he could have removed his Apple earphones for the portrait sitting with Giovani Bellini. 🙂

Just a shout to Artemesia, this was a much later work beyond her year of first recognition. As a Carravagist, her venue was selected. We own her earliest work, mostly unknown, but obviously the transitional size known from her. Thank you for your observations and understanding of her works.
