A perfect metaphor for fear, anger and bitterness melting, disappearing, turning into love. "Hurt people hurt people," and for many of us when we are kicked our first impulse is to kick back harder. Some of us are trying to find a path back to peace, out of pain,.

It is impossible to not like any version of this piece of music. Would be wonderful for the entire James Agee poem to be put to music like this.

This is really beautiful however what springs to mind is that the composer and choir are American however they seem to be singing with British accents. Is there a reason for this?
@johnfox7985Ай бұрын
Interesting observation, because, to my (UK-based) ear, they sound very American, with plenty of rhotic Rs scattered throughout. Maybe they're going for something more Transatlantic haha? The sound and interpretation are fabulous, which is what matters in the end, I suppose!

This is lovely. The tempo is slower than average, but it's perfect for this hall. Great blend, and great restraint by the sopranos letting the upper notes sparkle instead of overpowering the rest of the choir.
