I love reading Danielle Steel books, they are good books to read when I am in a slump they are fast pace also. Ones that stuck with me were Kaleidoscope, Fine Things, Daddy, Vietnam messages and The Winners. There was another one, about when they bomb pearl harbor and the government put American Chinese in a camp. Can't remember the title, but it was good since when I read it at the time, I had no idea that happened. I didn't see it in your pile, but like I said cannot remember the title Daddy and Fine Things were also made into Movies.
@tibbarasden23 күн бұрын
Will definitely have to pull Kaleidoscope since you're the second one to mention it. I have enjoyed the couple books I have read by her, and they are certainly fast-paced and easy to read. The Pearl Harbor one sounds interesting. I'll have to try to find it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Looks like a lot of good books, I read The Inmate by Frieda McFadden, was very good, I haven't read The Housemaid yet though. I got the Inmate and The Teacher on Kindle Unlimited while I was trying out a trial. The Inmate was good but didn't care for The Teacher. I like to read The Housemaid compare it it The Maid by Nita Prose to see which one I like better.

I read the Troublesome Creek one, I liked it a lot a very good book in my opinion. I read Harry Potter also, that is one of my favorites of the series, even though I was not fond of a character, Delores Umbridge. You may later find the correct buzzword, for May in another month. You don't have to follow the months. Right now listening to Night Divided about the Berlin Wall Young adult historical fiction. So I see a buzzword in July is measurement so Divided will be for that, but I am reading it now. I couldn't find Nature or word Every at least for now. Maybe I'll come upon it later.

I am really interested in Leviathan Wakes. I almost got the audio book this month but ended up going with something else. I am much more of a dog person. I said I would never have another cat, then came Adeline. She definitely fooled me with her cuteness as she is the most challenging cat I have ever met! I do love her, though, even when she drives me insane.

That's a good point about being annoyed with the author rather than the character. It always feels annoying and rather unsettling when a character does something that feels out of line with their character.

If I did want to read a sci-fi, I been wanting to read Project Hail Mary, but it is still a popular book to get hold of. I don't care for sci-fi books, too much, It seems to go over my head. Your animals, always want attention when you are filming. They are so cute.
@tibbarasdenАй бұрын
Sci-fi can be hard to grasp. It definitely isn't a genre I am entirely comfortable with. I haven't read Andy Weir myself but have heard really great things both from people who read sci-fi and those who don't, so they are definitely an author I want to try. The animals do like attention. Even though they get it constantly, it is never enough.

I read the Shack recently and really enjoyed it. I am not Christian. But the book has a mystery part throughout especially in the first third of the book. The latter half of the book is heavier on the mystical, philosophical, and religious themes and gets fantastical. I will have to look into that one.
