Can you tell about XUL vs. fly fishing? They seem quite similar (like you actually can carry flies on the XUL setup). Is it nice because you can do more versatile casting than with a fly rod where you basically need to be standing in the stream?
@fishyaleks925718 күн бұрын
Yeah they have some different pros/cons. To me XUL is much more convenient in a setting where im fishing where a lot of people is around me, I rig faster and get really good contact with the fish. It is also better suited for throwing micro spoons and spinners that tend to twist the leader when fly fishing. Fly fishing allowys you to cast even lighter flies quite a lot further tho, especially if the space/locatio is suitable. It also allows presentation of dry flies of course. In the end it comes down to convenience and preferences, catching a fish on a fly fishing rod is quite different from a spinning rod, even if both are ”XUL” in their respective categories! Hope this ramble helps, cheers!

Whats your best tip for river/canal perch fishing using dropshot?
@fishyaleks925723 күн бұрын
Start with small lures to locate fish, use small hooks. Then upsize. Focus fishing around locks and bridges and similar structures. Some days they really prefer a bottem presented lure like ned so try to not get totally stuck on drop shot!
@zachariasnyqvist136324 күн бұрын
Do you remember when you did the ”AliExpress Rod, Temu lure. Would you try it?” Yeah i commented/asked if 7 g worked now inte the summer in the canal and you said yes. I tried it in Malmö kanal and actually caught one the first time I tried it😂

How does the Berkley Pulse Spintail FEEL?? Do you also feel it vibrating when you reel it in slowly, like a chatterbait or something like that? I have a number of spintails (other brand) and the hooks often get stuck on the blade while trowing the lure. In addition, I think feeling the vibration of my lure is very direct fishing and I don't feel that with the ones i have. I was just wondering whether it is worth purchasing them. Hope you can help a fellow fisherman out.
@fishyaleks925729 күн бұрын
I think it depends on a few factors, but I agree on you point. I always strive to feel the vibration of the blades, if only lightly. The pulse spintail is OK in that regards but not the best. The lighter models are a little difficult and does require light gear to get that ”feeling”. I also think the dual blades can be too much at times. I actually much prefer the savage gear fat tail spin or gunki kaiju spintail over the pulse spin tail, but that is something that I’ve come to learn after using all three models (amd some others) quite much over the last three years. Cheers!
@ferryprive29 күн бұрын
@@fishyaleks9257 Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond. I got a lot of lures, but am on the point that i just want to invest in lures that give me confidence. I really like the vibrations on the Nays MTL LF, but was looking a the berkley Pulse spintail, but before i buy a few, i wanted to make sure if i will feel the vibrations. Does the savage gear fat tailspin give that more!? Looks interesting, maybe a good alternative! Thanks man.
@fishyaleks925729 күн бұрын
Of course man, I always appreciate genuine questions! I’ve never actually tried NAYS (not a big fan of the design aesthetic) but I imagine that they sre good considering the price point! Honestly, I will not be buying any more pulse spintails but rather fat tail spins (becausr yes, they spin better and I have more confidence in them) or maybe the westin dropbite just to try it out
