Very nice you actually inspired me to access some local sources like my daughters voice. I keep forgetting that I’m going to sample her and I do need some female pads. Thank you for the inspiration of study this a little later again.

Thanks dude, I did this tutorial about 5 or 6 years ago, needed a refresher, you are a really good teacher, and the pause button makes you super patient! Nice one, gates are cool, the first time I heard a Norman Cook gate I wanted to learn how to do it!

I don't know if it's possible to sidechain in garageband. But if you can and if this noise gate effect is available then you totally can.

So clever to use the trem as an LFO man and definitely is so much simpler than trying to do either sidechain or modulation when it’s not necessary

Me from the future, sidechaining on a compressor is actually pretty simple, I just didn’t know it existed yet 😅

Its easier to use the effect plugin Step FX was originally called Camel Space before Apple acquired them to get hold of Alchemy but all the CamEl FX are right there, check out the original Camel audio effects to get an idea of what can be done, it seems many people don't realise these amazing FX plugins live on in Logic!

Yes by the way I wish they were available individually in logic. Like I wish there was a dedicated effect for distortion, instead of having to open the fatFX and disable all the other effects.

if I want the whole track to duck to the kick drum in a house music song, can I side chain the master channel to the kick or do I have to side chain each channel individually? Thank you
