Interesting concept for working remotely. But , I’m not able to see the cost nor time savings here. So this is for packouts. So items must be carried out to the unit, small amounts at a time, cleaned, dried, wrapped and boxed, inventoried. Then placed on a truck (or POD). Does the MRU stay on site? The POD or container would, so that’s subject to break-ins and weather affects (humidity from night to day). I’d rather pack a house out in 2-3 days, utilize my full, secure facility for cleaning on a mass scale, then place the items into our storage. And bill for storage. I can maybe see the benefit for a small scale clean and pack, on site storage situation. Guess I’d have to see this played out start to finish.

I’d love to see a discussion on the trends with contents assignments and TPA’s. A discussion to ask when will the revolt begin.

I do all I can to avoid preliminaries. I get on the phone with the adjuster and iron out the scope of work and use standard Xact pricing by the zip code price list. I assure them that I’ll show the work we performed and the invoice falls where it will. Prelims will 1) delay the work to be done 2) are guaranteed to change and 3) will be used against you if they are too low. That standard pricing is my selling point as it creates assurances of transparency. This is doable with Xact and more difficult with Symbilty. But I don’t get much push back on Symbility contents estimates because no one knows the right way anyway.

Sorry I know this is awhile ago.. but does this apply to car insurance as well? I have a claim with the insurance for an accident(im not at fault) and the insurance wrote a check for just over 4k (2k less than the quoted damage cost) and they put a lien on the check even though I own the vehicle. I would like to look at my options on where to take my vehicle and after some issues I may have to take the vehicle to 2 different shops due to parts issue. Am I able to request for them not to lein the check?
