Women of faith tend to forget to give themselves praise and really take pride in their own hard work and achievements. It breaks my heart and feels like belittlement of her own effort and success. Christianity has been used to put us down and submit for so long, just a reminder here and there that SHE did that 🔥

​@@neurojynx252 Idk, I think when you're that close with God, you're not lacking any sort of self confidence in your achievements. It's sort of a "team" effort in my opinion. The way I see it, God comes from ALL things that are good. It's absolutely okay to congratulate yourself for your accomplishments but I think its even more important to give thanks/gratitude to God. Obviously this doesn't apply if you don't have the same faith but I just don't see a need to tell this girl that she needs to discredit God's blessings in her life. I guess I find it strange that people think she would find comfort believing God had nothing to do with any of this. I would be bummed. I absolutely see where you're coming from though. I would feel the same exact way if I didn't believe in God myself... but once you get confirmation that God is real... its almost painful to try and convince yourself otherwise. At the end of the day, its clear to me your heart is pure and you're just looking out. I imagine you've seen some women in the past who have had their confidence destroyed due to some awful teachings from the church. Its a bummer how often that happens.

@@anniemonroe9285 No the world isn’t going to get better until all religion dies and people accept the gods of logic and reason. Science brings progress, look at what your fake gods bring. Look at Gaza, look at the crusades, the inquisition, The dark ages. I could go on and on, but I’ve made my point. Religion only made sense in the time of human ignorance and we are well past that. Well except for all the ignorant people who cling to their superstitions, because it makes them feel good, even though there is zero evidence for any god.

You think youre saying something nice but this narrative has been used to discredit womens achievements for centuries by people deliberately misinterpreting gods word, she did the work and god did the final step and improved the things that she put the time and effort into. Lets not infantilise op, she worked hard to write a book using her own brain and skills and hands, its just disrespectful to her and frankly childish and reductive to claim that literally every single tiny little thing that happens is because of god when we both know he gave us free will to exist and choose and create independently from his influence.
