wow! Justin looks exactly like my Finn! I would LOVE to do that cut on him! My boy just turned 3. Unlike my girls, he fights, and bucks when clippers get near his face or ears. I've done all the tricks I know (electric toothbrush near his face, laid vibration clippers on his head) and it's not working. I don't know what to do.

My dream has always been to be a show groomer but ended up being a “pet groomer” because that’s what in demand where I live. I bought a Oster model 96 clipper. It only has one blade 1.5mm (medium), and several sizes of plastic guard. No instructions came with it, nor can I find a video of someone using this model clipper. I have retired Wirehaired Dachshunds who I no longer hand strip, and I’m tired of paying big bucks to the groomer. I want to use the clippers to keep their hair on their paws, legs, chest, etc. shorter all the time....then use it on their bodies just a few times a year. I need advice on whether the blade size is correct and which guard to use. The smallest guard says “blending” on it.

Having trouble getting comb on the clipper and also getting it off. Any suggestions?

If you're using one of the combs, does it matter what number blade you use, i.e does the comb determine the finished length of the coat regardless of how short the blade on it's own would cut?
