Br. Joseph, being a Brother in Holy Cross, is devoted to Saint Joseph. Brother's receive the image of Saint Joseph at their Final Vows for this reason rather than the Crucifix. He is not less than the others who would be ordained Priests the next year.

@@cscvocations - the Dominican Brothers wore brown over white. To show no distinction as a Dominican, the brothers now wear all white like the priests.

As a freshmen at Notre Dame I attended Tenebrae, not really knowing what it was, and therefore not expecting the strepitus at the end. That moment of chaotic noise amidst darkness might be the most poignant moment in the Church’s liturgical celebrations. It completely shocked me. I’m glad I got to experience this at Notre Dame but it’s a pity that more parishes don’t do this.

My church actually is one of the few churches in the entirety of Central Florida that does a Tenebrae Service, and it's particularly uncommon within Presbyterian Churches these days. What is surprising is last year we had a person all the way from England who was watching, so for them it was 11 PM over in the UK, the individual called us saints for offering it online.

I have known Father John and attended his Eucharistic Celebrations (Masses) for the past 8 years. He has indeed brought Hope through his Love of Jesus, His teachings which bring new Light to the Living Word of God, and to his example of selfless Love for all his Parishioners, the Church and the Community we live in. Praise God for this wonderful gift in Father John.❤
