Hi, some advice please. I run 3x D7100 bodys. 3x DX lenses, 2x FX lenses. Wanted to go mirrorless, but may hold fire for another few years and sell up my 2x DX bodys, and 3x DX lenses. Then purchase 2x D800 body, or 1x D800 body with a D750 or D3. I shoot anything from landscape, portraits, mountain biking, nature, festivals/concerts, so looking for an allround setup. I don't use flash or any photoshop or Lightroom, all my work is Jpeg fine. What's your advice please? All I been advised is there could be a waiting list of up to 3 months for DSLR parts overseas, and the way forward is mirrorless as DSLR now in transition of being phased out?

She didn't have $12,900 for a digital set up like the older photographer could afford. The lesson is use the camera that's available to you. It's the photographer, not always ethe equipment.

Great review of the movie. I thought it was pretty cool that the character Jessie was shooting film. What I would have loved to see would be someone shooting a battle worn Z9 that was worn down to bare metal. That would have been kinda cool. Maybe I'm missing something, but the test shots you showed were soft. I don't think a single one carried any kind of useful focus to the finished shot. No wonder they are cheap as chips.

Looking at d200's for a dirt cheap camera next to my D70. However, does the d90 make more sense? CMOS might be a negative but more ISO, video and live view a bonus. Like to hear you opinion on the d90

Showing you working on a raw file getting a modern profile look would have kept me watching. Even if you opened it in photoshop.

To be honest. This camera is by far the worst camera I've owned in terms of image quality. Why use a camera you can't print the images from. We'll you can but they look horrible. Might be 8mp but quality looks worse than 1mp. My 3mp Kodak from 2003 blows the Campsnap away by miles. I really wanted to like the Campsnap but after 500 images and a few prints I sold it. A waste of time and money... but I do think it's a great camera for kids.

What a terrible picture quality. It does have colors i give it points for that. So far for the fantastic CCD film like pictures, it cannot look more ugly digital.

i love my n60. i love all of my nikon cameras, but as far as my automatic ones the n60 is my go to. i have a few other automatic options but the n60 is just tiny and powerful. i do want a n90s or an f100 but that will wait

Good not great. Doesn't handle as well as the F100. If you want a bargain get a N6006. But all great film SLRs are now cheap as chips.

I cleaned with lacquer thinner, T-shirt rag just dampened, and let it dry well. Then I used McGuires Rubber/Vinyl Restorer, ( automotive supply store ), to put a little sheen back on it. Looked and felt great. It's great to find a real deal on a good camera!! cool video.

F80/N80 is cheap at £50 for the body, 90% as good as F5. If you're a knock about shooter, it's all you need. Light and compact and super sharp and responsive with a f1.8 50mm.

The loud sound is not the leaf shutter which is between the mirror and the lens, it is the mirror which has to be light tight so the lens can be changed without fogging the film. operation follows these steps; 1. press the shutter button, 2. shutter closes, 3. Mirror lifts up. 4, shutter opens to expose film and closes, 5. Mirror comes down, 6. shutter opens to allow light into viewfinder. The same process happens in a Hasselblad 500 although it has barn doors between the film and the mirror.

He's kinda cool, kinda funky, Inspirational on average, I subscribed .... however ... as the camera machine lover (he is), I wonder why at 2:35 in, on his shelves, I see so many beautiful pieces of equipment on the shelves with NO body caps. Why does my d30 look different? Mine is 8.2 megapixel. I bought it today at goodwill local store with the 2 stock lenses and a battery no charger. I charged it with my bench power supply to verify it works. I was wowed. Like my 7d. Ordered the kastar battery kit on amazon. Mine must be a newer d30. Ok it is eos 30d different beast

40 dollars a battery....thats cheap, my nikon F5 rechargeable battery pack is 200 dollars a piece, when you can find them.

I have a 5D Mkiii, 3 Mkiis, and had 2 5D classics. I gave one to a good friend because I enjoyed the experience of shooting such a simple camera with a sense r that rendered such beautiful images, especially with vintage glass. Of all my full frame cameras, If I'm going to be walking around just shooting whatever I happen across, I love to reach for the old classic. It's just such a pleasant photography experience. Is a Mk2 just a few bucks more and significantly more capable? Why of course, but shooting the 5d Classic is a great experience that warrants "cheaping out" if you will. Highly recommend for any beginner. It has everything you need, and noe of the frills that will distract, get in the way, or become a crutch to understanding technique and composition.
