The AM-D12 would have been a much better Buggy if they would have used captured links on their links instead of pressure mounted ones that pop out of place, I sent mine back, couldn't enjoy having to stop every few minutes to snap the steering links back on, and this was only on dirt and pavement, no jumps, no bashing. Now, if HBX was thinking ahead, they really need to release a 2995 Brushless Version. The 2995 is one of my favorite cheap RCs.

Hi there, I'm new to the hobby and would like to ask if this HB ZP1009 of yours is still kicking strong with no issues. Are the parts still intact and the elctronics still original. I'm looking for a cheap but durable crawler and one of my option is this model. Nice channel you have here.

Everything on my HB 1009 is still the way it came out of the box. I have used it about 6- 7 different off road adventures since this video was made. I have a bunch of other Rc’s that I like to rotate into use so they all get a turn to be used and played with. The HB has been truly awesome and tough and I have not broken anything or tightened anything on it except the wheels when the axle nuts get a bit loose. I have run it with my Redcat Gen 8 and my Rgt Rock cruiser, as well as my neighbor’s trx 4 and it can do equally what those trucks can do. I am truly impressed with it and very much recommend it whether upgrading it or keeping it stock. Hope I’ve helped making a choice! Thank you for your great comment and for watching Bang For YourBuck Rc reviews! ✌🏼😎👍🏻

@@allansoria3478 thanks again my friend. I’m sorry , when I read your initial comment I was at work and for some reason was giving you my feedback and impressions on a different rc from HB Toys the “Beluga”1/10 Bronco. I did not have my reading glasses on and thought that this was the rc you were asking about. I’m at home now a day later, glasses on (LoL!) and now can see your were referring to the smaller 1/12 HBToys ZP1009. Yes, this truck and its other body styled variants are very good out of the box, and a lot of fun and to be honest quite capable. Mine is still going strong, pretty much all stock. I did have to replace the servo on it almost immediately as I don’t believe they are fully waterproof. The first time I went through deep water I lost my steering. I purchased another servo for this and have avoided deep water. It does seem to be splashproof, but full on waterproof it is not. I also think the shocks that come on this are sprung way too hard. It’s a minor fix but one worth mentioning. This should (in my opinion) be set up with oil filled shocks, not the friction type they have it set up with. Putting oil filled shocks will make a huge difference. Make sure you measure the length of the stock ones so you get the right length. Other than those two things this thing is an absolute beast! Mine is still going strong and I haven’t had any other issues. I do plan on upgrading the esc to a proper hobby wing 1060. The stock set up has no drag brake, so going slowly down a steep incline can be sketchy. With a 1060, I will have drag brakes which is needed for proper crawling. When I do this swap I will need to get a new receiver and transmitter because the stock set up is bound to a 2 in 1 esc/ receiver set up. So those are my thoughts on this zp1009. I don’t recommend it if your paying much over $100. If you can get it at around +/- $100 it’s worth it, considering the minor upgrades it will at some point need. If very durable and fun even in stock form. If your really looking for something on another level though, HB toys make a true 1/10 Beluga (Ford Bronco Trx4 clone that is amazing out of the box. I’ll leave you the link to that truck. It’s worth the extra you will spend. I hope this helps you make your decision and hopefully not too late! Happy Rc’ing my friend! Yes you can absolutely run a 7.4 lipo in this with no worries. You may have to find a lipo with the same dimensions as the li-ion they sent you. That's impressive! And about HALF what the Tamiya new Bronco..... Or THREE TRX-4s!! Very full featured and seems pretty capable. Yeah, the body isn't as nice, but it's GOOD, and worth the price. And optional upgrades available? I'm really impressed! NICE radio even! In the size comparison... I was reminded of how much I REALLY wanted the Gen 8! I watched what seemed to be everyone getting a Gen 8.... but can't dream of affording one. As far as the TRX-4 is concerned.... for how overpriced it is, they can keep it. Sorry, it's NOT $525.00 good. Of course now, even Axial is way up there too. 😞 I watched the run closely. It's not AS smooth as an Axial or TRAXXASS.... but ill bet that a set of shocks from either, would fit your Beluga! It's still very nice. God Bless, my friend. 🙏

@BangForYourBuckRc That's awesome, Robby! Maybe you can find some used TRX-4 axles? 🤔 And good enough for YOU is good enough! If anything, I'd upgrade the servo... But the HW Fusion is a mind-blowing option! I'm dying to get my first one.... but for my Smokey and the Bandit Semi Truck! If anything needs more torque and low speed resolution.... it's the Tamiya Semi Trucks. Especially because my Grandbabies want to ride on the trailer! And somehow, I'm going to try to make that happen. That one I have to accomplish. Already figured out that the 1200kv version would be perfect. Because a $2200 RC Semi Truck, should never be driven fast. I have been working on Smokey again! There will be videos soon. I just need some small things.... And eventually, a Hobbywing Fusion. THAT one will take a miracle. 🙏 I may be out of those. Although, it wouldn't be right to Pray for a toy. That Semi Truck, it's advanced electronics, wild array of LEDs and unbelievable sound unit... was the only significant thing I got myself out of my Inheritance. Before my so-called friends and my morally corrupt stepkids, rifled through a large chunk, without me knowing until it was too late. Oh, and I bought my wife a $48,000 car..... which when she left me, she TOOK. Brother, I'm trying so hard not to be bitter. It's not healthy, and I'm the one who failed. Strongest lesson I've ever learned! My self penance is to be honest to a fault.

@BangForYourBuckRc Robby, I'll leave the tire option open.... but yeah, 100mm Shocks should be capable. To the point that it could handle nearly as well as my Wraith.... Which BTW, has Redcat Gen 8 shocks. 😲 They're actually smoother than most premium shocks! And in 7 years, I've only had to top up ONE shock, once! The real key to that is, I replaced the factory O-rings with Team Associated X-Rings. They're THAT good. And, remember the golden RC damper rule.... Short shocks (like on-road cars, drift cars), use thick oil (50 to 120wt). Long shocks use thinner oil (15 to 40wt). It may seem counterintuitive...... but, a very short shock barely moves its piston up and down. With a thin oil, you'd have NO damping whatsoever! And with a long crawler shock, the piston obviously moves much faster and longer. A really thick oil will almost prevent the piston from moving! 25wt should give you a surprisingly smooth ride, and have no trouble extending fully.... and have a nice, soft rebound. Oh, and you can buy the Gen 8 shocks, used off of Evilbay. Sometimes for less than $25! For the set!

You should always follow your heart, Robby... There's no higher calling than the Lord! I won't lie. I'll miss you and your videos. I admire your passion. KZfaq can draw people into unhealthy levels. I also understand your frustration with trying to get vendors to help. Even when it's beneficial to them! They're only supporting the mega channels anymore. Sadly, that makes viewing those channels LESS appealing to me. As you well know, KZfaq has been anything BUT a Blessing for me.... I gave into temptation, hard! Im not even going to be able to afford budget (WPL) vehicles... for possibly years! 😢 I cannot complain. I caused what happened to myself. Maybe, if you'd be willing to sell any WPL or similar to me, cheap.... (i need them for my Thai Dump Truck project, which i can finally start), i would certainly appreciate it. Brother, i truly consider you one of the very few real friends I've got left in the world. Even my wife left me. You've offered kindness and support, when everyone was ridiculing me. I'll never forget that. A regret I have is - when I got my Inheritance in 2021, and bought RCs for people who won't even speak to me anymore...... I wish I had bought you something. 😞 You're a good man with true character. Don't ever lose that. I unfortunately did, and although I talk to God daily, I still can't find forgiveness for myself. When I purchased this it was under $150 off from Amazon with the use of an Amazon coupon. Great car for the money and great service as have spare part availability which came rather quickly after ordering through Haiboxing. Parts are now also available on Amazon as well! Thanks for the view and question! 👍🏻😎✌🏼

Hey brother, you're one of the coolest people I know in this hobby. Great content, excellent editing skills and you're very knowledgeable. I totally understand and agree with everything you've said. It can definitely be addictive and can control your life. The hobby should be fun and not depend on the amount of views you get. I've taken it down a couple of notches as well and review things that I really want. Sometimes I use my toys without bringing a camera to record just so I can enjoy the hobby without working. Enjoy your time off brother, God bless 🙏🏽

I will absolutely get one and turn it into a General Lee. My family has been in movies during the 80s, my mom met the A-Team cast on set, and both her and I are fans of The Dukes of Hazzard. Got 2 Labrador Retrievers named after the Duke boys. Very nice video and I like the slow-mo jump clips. I'll add the Dixie horn and the sound of the engine in my future rc General Lee. Have an amazing day!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an awesome comment.I really do appreciate your excitement about these shows! What an amazing experience for your Mom to have met the A*team. I for one loved that series as well! Are your labs chocolate and yellow? Chocolate being Luke and yellow being Bo… still cool names nonetheless! I do have a Dixie horn for this car , but it only works some of the time. It wasn’t on in this video. Really happy you enjoyed and good luck with your build of the General Lee! 👍🏻 Have a blessed Memorial Day weekend!✌🏼😎

Whew I missed this because I have been on the side of. It watching and making sure I have seen every video…which does help with views on your own channel unless your a big boy and the RC big boys aren’t that big……I mean there’s 10 year olds with legos and Fortnite channels with more subs I’d bet!!! Idk I only watch RC other than what my kids do and occasionally I’ll have a fan that keeps on me enough for me to watch travel or food. But I make content for me for most part and it is May way of sharing diff, then busting and sharing new ones…I have very few subs and they have come slow lol!! But I love my good friends which you are def one!!!!

I most definitely appreciate that Arty! Your channel is great, and if it leads to self satisfaction in the end than what more can we ask for right? I just let youtube consume too much of me and my time. I did feel the moral thing to do when other channels supported me was to in turn pay respect and support them as well. Of course, if one thinks this way, it will become difficult and wearing to keep all these obligations. This part consumed me and all of my spare time. Not sure I could have a youtube channel any other way, so something had to give. It was a blessing and a curse at the same time. Thanks so much for hanging in there with me though. I still Rc just the same but without the pressure of video, editing and all the other jazz. Hit me up if you still wanna go for a crawl. Will definitely stay in touch on your channel from time to time. I’m thankful to be considered your friend!

Can I make a suggestion just enjoy the car and make a running video. No pressure, I often barely edit. No time too. Run my business, get my kids to everything, with wife working, but when I get a few min I do my rcing that I love, and share like this…..no time to make RC friends to really play with, that takes lots of extra time. But ten min with phone and a car and I love it….hard for me to just drive w out filming….but no time to create high production quatstuff I’ve tried a little some performance upgrade reviews….thats like a job. And I have one idk how some dudes can swing it all…. Please stay in touch. I’ve known you weren’t into it since you took a break you’ve put good stuff out since but kept expecting this. Hope to see content and you in person some day!!!
