So we have this idea of what a homeless person is, right? And too often that view is correct. They're standing around holding signs saying "Yo feel sad for me, gimme money gimme food". But here's the thing... Most of us work. We work, have families, have friends, have hobbies. We spend all day doing things to maintain and expand that. The fuck are these homeless people doing? Walk into EVERY business and ask for a job. What's the worst they can do? Tell you no? What did you lose? Time? You're spending it standing around. Go do something with it. It's literally the only resource you have available to you, and you're wasting it on hoping other people will help you. All it takes is 1 paycheck to get out of your situation. 1 payment means you can buy a new set of clothes and rent a hotelroom for 1 night to clean up. Now you look like everyone else. Get back out there and apply for more jobs. I was in your situation once. I was in the streets for 5 months until I had enough of eating from dumpsters. It took me 1 day to find a place by the docks that were a man short and could use a hand for a few hours. They paid me 100. I spent 30 on clothes. Just some jeans and a t-shirt. My shoes were still busted up. I spent 68 on a hotel room for 1 night. I showered, shaved and went out looking like everyone else the next day. I just walked into companies asking if they could use some one. I was hired within 5 hours of leaving the hotel. Sure, maybe I got lucky. But you're not giving luck a chance if you're just going to stand there and wait for it.
