Do you know about this problem 03 Forerunner, it sounds like the front hubs are locked or bad axel bearings , like it stuck in a lower gear. Makes noise that didn't have before

Wow this was so much work. Props to you guys. Me personally I wouldve just bought a new 4runner but seeing the cost of new vehicles i understand why

I followed the steps in this video exactly and after flipping the switch back off my VSC & Track lights remain on. Any ideas as to why my vehicle makes me turn key off and then back on to get the lights to shut off and VSC & TRAC to reengage? I thought this method was supposed to make it so that wasn't required?

The old frame could’ve easily been fixed with Safe T cap or just some fabrication. Maybe it was cheaper for you guys to swap the frame but either way. You have a brand new 4R lol

Bummer, I really thought this would work out, but what should I have expected from such a small machine. That little bugger is just working too hard and takes too long for what I want. And for $50 on Amazon, I am just going to have to pass. Thanks for the review

Is it possible to swap the frame without taking the engine out? Just raise the whole thing up then secure the body and engine and then drop the frame? Or is there a reason why?

So i have a 08 4 runner. my aux port hasn't been working so i decided to take it apart and look. my aux port doesnt go to anything. its just the wire that's connected to the aux port. i didn't see any other wires connectors that would fit it. does the aux wire harness's come from the back or the front? im really confused on why that's not hooked up and where the rest of the wiring is.

Land erosion is going to be the downfall of offroading in Michigan... Michigan's northern half is almost entirely made up of sand blown in off the Great Lakes over the centuries. When the Tree Huggers realize the damage done by 4x4's to the landscape the end of 4wheeling in Public Lands and Forests will come to quick end. Heavy rains on 4x4 wheel ditches only will increase the damage each year. There will not be an end to the erosion once started by wheeling.

After sanding down the rusty spots and wire wheeling the whole thing, I just cleaned with denatured alcohol. Painted with Rustoleum flat black enamel paint, which has held up very well to 3 Michigan winters so far! This year I'm going to touch up some spots and coat the whole thing in Fluid Film before they salt the roads.

whats the best way to find trails like this. went from 2 wheels to 4 and its really limiting where i can ride.
@rustbeltwrenchers1310
@rustbeltwrenchers1310 Жыл бұрын
The best way I've found is to join a local 4WD club. Try to find one that follows Treat Lightly principles so you don't ever end up in legal trouble going where you shouldn't. From there, you'll be able to tag along on trail rides led by other members to learn about cool spots. The other options is to look for ORV maps put out by your state. Michigan has ORV Trails for ATV's and dirtbikes, but they also have ORV Routes for full size licensed vehicles. There's usually lots of cooler two-tracks near the routes to explore. Also, Forest Service roads are public access and some of those can be pretty cool too.

Shoulda engaged the center diff lock
@MrNismopro
@MrNismopro Жыл бұрын
Center diff lock doesn't do anything for the the axles to lock left wheel to the right wheel. Plus 4Runner doesn't have e a center diff lock button it just does automatically. You're think of the Land Cruiser. But it still wouldn't lock the axles left to right.
@weaponxduarte
@weaponxduarte Жыл бұрын
@@MrNismopro the v8 fourth gen has an e center locker that makes it a 50/50. And your right it wouldn’t lock it left to right but it would give it a better power distribution( I only know it has the button cause I personally own a fourth gen v8)
