These notes do not lie in a good place for Gowan's voice. You can hear him struggling. I know how to fix that - get DDY to sing it.

Ive heard a few times in social media now that the third guitarist (the one who's not JY or Tommy) is Tommy's long time lover. Rumor,, I'm sure , but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Again, again and once again, this sounds like garbage; a cheap imposter trying to replicate a classic tune written by one of the most talented songwriters, with a phenomenal voice. It’s amazing the hypocrisy of Tommy Shaw, he publicly ridicules this particular Dennis DeYoung penned song, yet he has no problem having this cabaret reject vocalist Larry Gowan butcher this gem in concert.

Now all of a sudden, according to Tommy in a very recent, recent interview now says this is a brilliant song. The contradictory statements are too funny from these guys. And obviously, they now love Mr. Roboto. Dennis, JY & Tommy all had a share in that song from the playing to the mixing. But JY & Tommy hate it and they'll never ever do another concept album (But wait, 2017 comes and what do they do?). They hate it, they hate Dennis, they hate ballads. But they're up there every night playing Dennis penned tunes and earning money from Dennis penned tunes. Hypocritical. The war between Dennis, JY & Shaw continues and will never end until they're all gone. But, maybe it'll continue as they swipe barbs with each other wherever they all wind up at in the afterlife.

Lawrence Gowan really like doing Mr. Roboto, had been knocking his bandmates doors for years to do it, and damn he really owned the song when they performed it live. Look at the audience reaction. Now "The Best of Times". This is a love song, one of the signature Dennis's ballad beside Babe. I don't think Lawrence yet to find his place performing this song in the video above. Dennis soulful melodic voice in this ballad is hard to redo actually. Time will bring him of course, to make him sing this song as his own, I don't mind a bit harder/upbeat version than the original ballad.

Wrong song title I was at their Moncton casino concert, their kick off concert of finally back to the maritimes concert and they were awesome as per after their roughly month long break from their states tour portion. It was my third time seeing them and first time at the Moncton casino. Yes DDY has not been with them since many years now but it is NOT going to stop me from going to see them. They still have it for sure. Styx is NOT the only classic band that has line up changes, so ya crap happens people, deal with it. Life is waaay to short to fuss over whos the original members left yadda yadda. I sure had a really good time. Gowan was the perfect replacement for DDY and hes also a fellow Canadian eh!
