This exact moment is the reason I play guitar now! My dad got the DVD for me when I was 5 and into classical stringed instruments at the time. My dream back then was to be a conductor and I was blown away by how Steve is conducting the orchestra with the guitar and does all these crazy noises. And then I asked my dad for a guitar, and now 16 years later I play professionally, released a couple of instrumental albums inspired by Steve and building up a career as a session guitar player! Steve has been my biggest inspiration ever since and without this exact performance I'm not sure if I'd be alive today :)

George was sharing the same stages with an unsigned Van Halen honing his chops & putting in the hours to get where he ended up....The Top. Met the guy at some Acoustic show he was doing back in 2006ish & was very friendly charming chap. They played ' Dream warrior ' on acoustic....dayummm

He didn't find his way around.. he got comfortable with what he knew, then branched out. He knew patterns in sound and on the fretboard. Patterns are mathematical. He didn't realize he was "self learning" music theory. This is why he's in my hall of fame . The man played by ear.. he had/has "perfect pitch" and a great mind.
