If you get off at Nieder Pailau and go down the street to Peilau going south you'll still see old german writing on a house that till this day says Gasthaus Germania. Kind of funny since the communists tried to paint it over but their cheap paint wore off and the original writing is still there, but then again that was back in 2006 when I was last time there.

I know the "Gasthaus Germania"; on the other side of the railway, there is the "Feldschlösschen" pub, in further german times "Refom-Restaurant". www.peilau.de

I visited that church in 2005. Very strange architecture. The church lacked windows, no rose window in back. Its almost as if they ran out of money for glass back then and could only afford 2 windows that faced south.
