Jersey cows I see, they are the most efficient dairy cows you're on the right track as far as I'm concerned, sure miss my days on the dairy farm ,I would love to be behind a heard of good dairy cows! How many cows do you hope to have? How many acres do you have available to farm?

Mark Matson, I'm Myron's dad and I just saw this video this evening for the first time. I'm a small time partner with Myron in the farm and we started milking in April of this year are are currently milking a few over 60 Jerseys. While there are over 700 acres on the farm, more than half of that is rough and steep and is planted into pines. We have about 300 acres of open land where we raise corn, soybeans, some small grain and quite a lot of pasture since we are trying to get about half of the cow's dry matter intake from grazing. Come see us!

I'd love to come see your operation some time, I was a dairy farmer for nearly 50 years here in west central PA,sadly now I'm near 60 and my knees are bad but I still farm mainly corn, soybeans and hay and 25 beef all of which I sell when I can!

@@WyndCan540 Did a stall barn do the number on the knees? You may wonder how a 30 some year old blind guy found the resources to start a dairy. That's quite a story in itself. Look up Long Island Lumber/ Our Story if you're interested. Blessings!

Do you service/build silos all over Wisconsin?

though it was very interesting it really was not worth risking your life to film inside of that silo while it filled up, lucky escape

FYI , I wasn't inside the silo to film, I only inserted the camera into the silo.
