From Memphis, born and raised. Still got so much love for my hometown, but I had to get the fk up outta there. 4 years in prison, recovering opiate addict, been to every single filming location and more. I love the movie and it's the realest movie ever made about Memphis but it's not what it used to be. I left Memphis after getting outta prison back in 2013 and never looked back still got much love for Memphis and people there and still visit from time to time to take my daughter to the zoo, I moved to Mississippi out in the country, got clean, got married to the man of my dreams, and we had a baby girl. It took witnessing a murder at Leahy's trailer park on summer, to getting raped twice once at gun point on Baltic Ave and again gang raped over off Tillman in Binghamton, to drug addiction, to prison, and more to make me realize I needed a change. I'm lucky to still be alive, God never left me thankfully. But I love this movie cuz it portrays so much truth about Memphis and most the people like myself there. But had to get the fk outta there and get it together. Props to Craig brewer for a great real movie!!!! Still watch it and it's 2023

The bridge where he parks is under the i-55 and crump bridge. The strip club I think it was filmed at Ebony Lace but I will find out for you.

Hi John, the production filmed on ARRI ALEXAs using contracted Tennessee cast and crew, and this video was shot on a Sony A7sii using Sony's FE 24-70mm 2.8 GM lens.
