Thanks Professor Garrity, I just started reading your book /All the Math You Missed/ . I'm in my first linear algebra course now and I'm trying to immerse myself. Almost surprised the second half of this talk isn't called _Arrows Describe the World_. Thanks and best wishes from small-town Georgia.

So let's be honest: Doesn't that overwhelm the vast majority of mankind? It required - quite honestly - my highest concentration to follow this highly intelligent lecture here, whoever claims that this is easy either has no idea about mathematics, is a genius himself - or is lying... Terry finds these results obviously but easily, he does not exert himself, because it doesn't just seem logical - it's actually wonderfully mathematically consistent! Such findings are great moments of mankind and will probably bring us 1 decade into the future! For this, one can applaud only - if one is honest - in reverence! ^^

This brilliant presentation has only been seen 12,677 times in three years 2017(!) - every primitive pop song has 100-1000 times more clicks... Isn't it actually sad that geniuses are no longer noticed in the present?

First woman to win the William Math Putnam math competition fellow while a sophomore at NYU in 1996. Born in Romania. Culture plays a role as of the three women who became Putnam fellows, FOUR TIMES , Romanian Americans won THREE TIMES ( Ioana Dumitriu, NYU, in (1996) and Ana Caraiani, PRINCETON, in (2003 and 2004). Putnam is an undergraduate Math Competition for students in the US and Canada. It is dubbed the world most difficult math competition. Take the 2017 Putnam competition, though the highest possible score was 120 points, the highest score that year was 89, and of the 4638 students who took the test, ONLY 20% earned 13 or more points. In other word, 80% of the participants scored 13 points or less (out of a 120 point max). Melania E Woods (Duke) in 2002 was the second woman to win the Putnam Competition. A winner is a student who scores in the the top 5 . Putnam doesn't rank the top 5 students, only the participants scoring outside the top 5

He's better then you not because he is a gifted mathematical genius, no, he is ahead of you because only a dull, stupid, and mediocre mind compares him of her self to another human being.
