Good video Dave. Just had the Companion installed in my 2024 Chevy 3500 today. Excited to head out Monday. Coming from a Ford F450, i hope this Chevy holds its own.

Thank-you!! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my awnings wouldn't extend. The fuse box was labeled incorrectly and your trick of holding the retract button down while the panel is open saved the day. Thanks a million!

How deep are the drawers? I have items that are 3.5" tall that I want to put in a top drawer. Will the drawer close with a 3.5" item in it?

Dave. Great video. I’ve decided to get an Onan Gen for my Jayco Northpoint. Are you happy with the 5500? I’m wondering if the 6500 would be that much better. Our unit has 2 15k btu ACs also. Thanks Patrick

My camper is a 40 foot fifth wheel with two 15,000 BTU ACs and the 5500 runs everything just fine not a problem at all. Do you have a need for 6500

Not at all mine is a 36.5’ 5th wheel and already prepped for LP Onan. The dealer tech guy I talk to for technical issues just recommended to go with the larger one to be on the safe side of having more power to spare. I would be okay with 5500 if it runs both ACs. I don’t know anyone who has these and so I need to ask about everything. Sorry

Where is the fuel tank/tanks, what type of fuel and how much does it use please ? Thanks.
@derrich773
@derrich773 3 ай бұрын
It’s an LP generator that runs off the two 30LB tanks for the camper. The tanks are located on both front sides by the landing jacks. I forget how much LP is used on an average but it all depends on the load you are trying to run.

I own three apartment buildings in Brooklyn and this video explains more than I’ve ever gotten from the boiler contractors that I’ve hired for years. Thank you. Question: my return lines are mostly on the floor. How do I clean the sludge if the pipes are not elevated? Is it still necessary to clean the return pipes?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a question that you may be able to answer for me. Is the high watermark where the water is for a cold boiler or a hot boiler?

Nope! A steam boiler has little to no pressure when it’s producing steam because it’s an open system. Not closed. Watch the whole video to find out why or contact a boiler technician and they can explain it to you.

@@derrich773 not really sure, but I had guy do a lot of maintenance on the boiler including draining it, cleaning the water level glass and checking each air valve as you did. I don't think my repair guy considered whether or not any of the radiators are not draining properly as you pointed out at the end of this video.

I've been told it should be an 80amp circuit breaker. Mine has a 50amp now I have had issues since I've bought my 2022 5th Wheel. My 5th wheel is at the dealership now for warranty repairs on the Lippert Ground Control 3.0. Hopefully they will swap out the circuit breaker from 50amp to 80amp. If not, I've already purchased a Blue Sea 80 amp breaker. Just need larger capacity wire to run with it. Each landing leg has a 30amp fuse. Whenever the system is leveling there are always two legs running at the same time. So I find it strange 50amp is supposed to be adequate when two 30amp legs are operating at the same time.
@derrich773
@derrich773 Жыл бұрын
When I took delivery of my 5th wheel the manufacturer installed a 30amp in that location. I had issues with it tripping then you would have to wait until it resets it self. I took it into my dealer and they confirmed with keystone 50 amp. Since 50 amp was installed I have not had any issues since. I wonder if your system different than mine.
