A friend of the family worked as dyno tech for a F1 team back in the 1980’s and he said that he spent thousands of hours dyno testing exhaust systems to find the design that produced the best dyno numbers that would fit in the engine bay.

Inconel isn’t made from titanium, it is a nickel-chromium superalloy. At most, there will only 2-3% titanium by mass. Inconel is a good material to make exhausts out of since superalloys were designed to maintain mechanical strength at very high temperatures.

To make any engine sounds good, avoid the fancy things... Just put the 2 6x2 exhaust and a high flow murfler...will sound like angels chariots...

Headers are too long before going to the merger, need to shorten by at least half ans separate the banks, use an x pipe downstream and it will sound 1000 times better

For sheer adrenaline causing soundwaves try listening to 8 zumi pipes on double A fuel dragster at 11,000 rpm. I think you might change your opinions of what sound and true power is. Give it a shot and see what you think. I bet you are shocked and probably change your minds. I'm also not saying that all of these cars sound great in their own ways, I'm just making the point of you can have real high power and great sound also. Cheers

I have seen many tries to get turbo and super-chargers to work without lag, and the best way, before fuel injection was to pressurize the carburetor. Then, someone put a gate between the intake and carburetor, to bypass the turbo. That worked, but was unreliable for all situations, and didn't work for superchargers. My favorite design is still the turbo or super-charger to pressurize the carburetor, even tho you need a can over the carb.

Dude .. the level of editing and effort you put into this , made this a dope vid bro and keeps me interested (i have adhd hard to focus) im curious .. will this still be harsh on the turbo like traditional anti-lag systems tho or does this method work more fluidly with the compressor ?.. peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z fam and keep having fun brotha
@maisteer15 күн бұрын
It's harsh in a different way. First the turbo seals need to be able to handle vacuum and second the turbo can spin (much) faster than usual, which in Renault's case caused compressor wheels to explode from the centrifugal force. Renault fixed it by "inventing" forged compressor wheels.
@mastercricket762614 күн бұрын
@@maisteer right on brotha , thank you for responding and the info ... and good to know ...might experiment with some cheap China chargers to start if I make one and once I feel it works right then try it on the real turbo lol .. peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on brotha .. l8r and keep having fun

I always find it weird people think certain exhaust notes are clearly better then others. I love cars, and many of the exhaust sounds of cars people think sound bad. I almost think an assosiation of high power high cylinder engines just convinced people that exhaust note is better, like its the gold standard.
