Some of, if not the best film I have seen. Camera angle is unbeatable, no wasted time I'd skip anyways between points. thank you very much for this.

what drone do you use? Do stop the recording after each point or keep it going the whole time?

This was shot using a (borrowed) DJI Mavic 3 Cine. The settings weren't quite dialed-in for the situation, but it turned out okay. I stop recording between points, during timeouts, and during extended mid-point discussions. This saves on storage space + serves as a convenient marker when editing later.

4:28, Lol that isn't a pick. He's 10 yards away 7:10, This travel call makes no sense. Doesn't affect the mark at all, as it's an OS huck... Where's the spirit? He didn't even have a good look at where it went out...

Junk zone notes 0:15, Split stack huck goal. Junk zone (?) fails. (They didn't match up I don't think and they sent 3 guys down to the handler space. This is interesting!) 0:32, Giant 8s pull. Probably actually going out but caught anyways... Furious split stack is unable to generate anything against Machine's junk zone 2:59, Monster 9s pull. FG split stack pull play. Machine junk zone D 11:48, Machine junk zone D 19:55, Machine junk zone --> Furious much better able to beat it this point. Looks like they use their handlers a lot more and the cutters are 23:20, Machine junk zone D. FG break through this quite easily. Looks like they use 4 handlers to move the disc 28:25, Machine junk zone D. Starts off with 4 handlers, but the cutters are very shallow and involved too. I think this brings in the mids to clog up the space --> 28:58, With the mids collapsed low, it opens up this over the top hammer. But thrower error turnover. Probably pushed down by the crosswind 29:10, BS give-go turnover. Disc trailing receiver too much. --> 29:18, Machine go back to junk zone D, and they stay in it till they get scored on.

8:15 has a failed Pony Zipper pull play. And Mickle throws it! Very nice defending of the deep cut! But also, perhaps the throw is to blame bc that ended up really short of the endzone. Maybe it was upwind, idk. (It doesn't look very windy by the looks of things...) 8:35, good shut down D on the BOS here for a flat side continuation 8:44, turnover on the handler give-go. Give-go with 3 people 9:07, disc on own endzone line, trap side third, not quite coffin corner. Runs 9:10, Mickle shoulder check for the BOS continuation 9:16, big, floaty around flick break 9:20, under from Mickle, thrower hesitates --> continuation cut goes to OS then flows BS when it's looked off 9:31, flat side continuation cut poach helps shut the look down. PoNY then swings the disc and the poached player is free to continue 9:45, FOS cuts to BS not open enough. More specifically Keegan's, as he's covered better before cutting. 9:51, L-cut continuation 9:56, Lovely BS around reset cut to backfield. Throw a little too high and easily contained. Mickle continuing recognizes this and butterfly cuts deep. *10:04, I don't see this enough. This should be used more! (And from the stack on the BS under cut.) Ie, cut under then hook back and get an upline. Then the thrower throws and goes. Easy give-go bc both defenders are trailing now. 10:16, easy around reset bc mark is so flat --> Kocher(?) continues but shoulder checks to BOS first. D contains Garvey to Kocher really well. (Compare to next cut, where Mickle is no more free but does get the disc.) *10:23, Wheel with big continuation to a goal. Mickle at FOS has an easy continuation. This is a perfect example of a wheel. D could've switched though 12:25, a good demonstration of swing the disc and not looking downfield too long. The disc moves like a pendulum. ACTUALLY though, Sub is playing with a straight up mark it looks like, which naturally forces the disc wide... (They're flick in the middle but flat on what should be the flick trap side, left of screen.) 12:46, After mickle clears out and the handler is stranded, this is a lovely hook cut by the FOS to reset the disc. The defender ends up trailing. So this Pikachu move works in high level ulti too! 12:55, simple slip/slash reset from BS. And really nice patience assessing his turn timing. 13:05, Mickle gets the disc off the sideline then cuts into the OS but it doesn't clog things up given the context. ==WAIT it DOES clog==. The thrower doesn't seem to notice the clogging, but no one cuts into teh OS because of Mickle and his defender clogging. Mickle seems to think the flow would be BS 13:35, I really like this flat side goal by Jagt. Shows a lot of game IQ making this cut here. Making a change of cut mid continuation cut. Hook cut used. 14:28, Mickle backfield reset, lateral OS position 15:20, this is a defensive check when there's no O holding the disc. Ie when the disc is on the ground. You start by having the nearest defender tap the disc to put it back in play. --> *pony zone D. Makes Sub zero pass for 3 whole mins!!! But they score. 18:25, this pull is a perfect example of a Helix huck shape (Compare it to 20:53 pull which looks flat but falls to the inside Backhand force - blob stack - BOS continuation - next BOS continuation covered, (reset occurs) then he causes a pick - moves to flat side - pick - play restarts with observers - another pick called but illegally. He was way farther than 10 feet - stuff happens then disc moves width of field to OS and Pony scores. Notice the D switch from the stack - Note how the stack was always very compact this point... The BOS continuations were very close to the disc... 20:05, Nice back and away BS reset cut by Mickle. defender's positioning was pretty bad. Played the inside but with outside shoulder positioning PoNY up 6-5 21:01, flat side huck, turnover. Lots of separation on this L cut, but disc over thrown - notice how this defender shuffles and cross-steps to take away the inside slash 21:33, 6 person stack. FOS poach to a BOS cut. Also notice how they use both sides of the stack to initiate, which opens up two options at once 22:32, really nice upline move from this secondary reset position 7-5 - ==I would've really liked to see a throw go up== for that initial deep cut for when the pull was brought in at the brick... Like there's so much separation and space on the right half of the field for a hammer (double helix) and possibly a backhand (helix or slight IO)... Am I asking too much? - 23:50, nice work on the flat side sideline back 45 reset. It's A Roy 32 btw. Truck doesn't do this, but it seems like Roy likes it, which is something Rowan said he argued in favour of. - Notice how there's no continuation though. Bad. - But then teh FOS D poaches the BOS cut, which is really common and expected, so the D I guess truly believes that throw will happen. Roy sees it and has an inside option - 24:03, ==SZ's 10 is actually quite free from his defender==, and there's no real poach threats. This is when I think practicing scoobers and high release backhands for these cuts would come in handy. - But they immediately look to a standard give-go off the flat sideline and score in flow using the width of the field. So it all worked out. - But honestly, I don't think the assist Roy throws for the goal is any easier of a throw than what I'm imagining on the flat side. Look how small the window is. 7-6 24:30, sub zero do a really good job of stopping ponies pull play 24:40, Garvey turns it over on a simple open side swing - you know I think this is actually an example of what I was talking about yesterday in alti cuts. The turnover where the cutter hasn't sealed off their defender from the inside, but thinks he has so he cuts one way but the thrower thinks the opposite and throws to the other side of him 25:00, sub zero ezo stack. I like how pony sets up their defense. All but one guy is on the open side. One guy is standing on the other side to cover those continuations or maybe a hammer or something over the top. And this guy actually is able to deter a goal scoring throw just before the pick call... 25:25, what a beautiful goal. Scoober to the slash cut, with more than enough float to keep it in the air despite the miscue. 7-7 - play where whole team is behind the desk. I like the cut that gets the goal. He jogs or runs towards his defender, and sprints when he gets to him. This change of speed get him open in the tiny window by the trap side end zone cone 8-7 26:15, pony with the back of stack initiation. - beautiful continuation by Jimmy Mickle 9-7 26:40, Sub move the disc laterally a lot, although not necessarily with standard resets (there were 3 swings that were non-standard. Like someone from the stack who wasn't covered tight got the reset when Sub was looking for one.) 27:40, great BS upline defense! Shuts down the stutter move! 28:10, great trap side EZO goal, being aware of the front cone poach and throwing to the back 9-8 28:34, this is just about the best, well-timed poach and back to man coverage I've seen from a sagging handler defender. *28:40, Jimmy Mickle throw away. Miscue with OS lateral reset 28:55, SZ EZO. Quick goal. Hook cut gets the separation. - I think the only thing that can be done is the mark flashing the opposite force here... That other guy with a cap isn't ready to switch. And it's such a short window. 9-9 29:45, Brick pull. Nothing good initiated. And it's FM? Turnover on the endzone throw. Receiver error? I would say that the throw was a little too high given that it was thrown along the sideline. That means the receiver has something extra to think about: jumping but landing in, so they need to catch then quickly look at their feet. I'm not really sure that's actually the case here, but maybe. 31:00, disc comes in at own endzone flat sideline, near cone. What a hard throw to make. Nearly poached 31:20, another scary flat side moment. Lots of craziness, too many cutters. (Well, this is the D line on O so...) 32:12, Watch 9 guarding the guy who scores. He trails to the OS. Was he expecting a different force? Was he expecting help from Garvey? Or was he not thinking? 9-10 32:50, brick pull. Nothing good initiated. *33:13, An example of an under cut that goes across the thrower, not at him. (And then he dishes to a handler, which is great youth ulti.) 33:48, Flat side reset setup with FOS completely detached from stack which is quite far away. D covering Mickle does the right thing by orbiting, but then he can't keep up with Mickle's cutting speed. *33:58, another example of how to cut under. And an L cut continuation which is great heads up cutting. It's not always supposed to be the back or front of stack who cuts. But just noticed that every player has their head up, scanning the field for who's in a position to cut before they do so. *34:09, Front cone of trap side endzone poached. Which leaves Mickle free... oops --> this Mickle assist, which is thrown off balance, in stride, with practically no time to read the cut, and it's an early cut, is amazing. It's perfectly accurate and Mickle only looks for one stride before he starts his throwing motion. HOW? Is he reading the play during his throwing motion? Is he throwing so slowly that he has an extra split second to read the play and fake it off if the separation wasn't enough? Has he just practiced it enough that he knows? Is he looking at the D, where he can see 5 yards of separation?

10-10 34:49, SZ turn on a huck. I think this sort of throw needs to be flatter so it hangs. There's a ton of separation, so there's no need for a speedy OI edge. Although with that poach, you don't have that much separation to the far side endzone... But still, this would've been better if it had less or no edge *35:18, Disc coming in a own endzone trap side sideline, near cone --> ==another example== of how to cut under. Notice he doesn't run at the thrower, even though the angle would take him OB if he continued as far under as previous examples --> and a good example of how hard it is to continuation cut from a BS stack (disc on trap side). This is Jagt and he's late to start his cut and just dances... Yikes 11-10 36:08, wtf Marques... Another OB pull. The worst I've seen 36:52, This looks like what we practiced tonight for flat side EZO. It's not as clean, but it lines up pretty well 37:13, an interesting EZO trap side choice. Thrower error, but probably could've worked if it was Mickle... (Also the thrower's cut to get the disc is an interesting path. I expect a fill, cuz the guy who went upline is still there, but nope.) 37:42, Flat side huck to an L cut deep. Turnover, but very very close. --> Also terrible defending or disc reading by the D. Like if you want to get the D block, you can just play the guy. He can only catch it where you are. 38:12, Flat side thrower error turnover. Same guy turning it over with the same release point as above at 37:13 38:27, Lol, lovely luck on this flat side give-go. 12-10 39:03, SZ can't find anyone to hit on the trap side and throw a high stall bail out airball. Turnover. 39:28, Look at this continuation L cut from green cleats. It's a deep clear to an under and he's open. --> the continuation is a goal. (Only 3 throws to score.) Such an easy flat side goal. Wow. And I love how Jagt (intentionally or not) uses this slowing down to keep his defender asleep and far away (large buffer, idk why...). Intentional or not, that's what it did. 13-10 PoNY zone D point. Seemed like they didn't want to put in too much effort being up so much... 13-11 41:40, Huge swing from flat side to other side ==punishes poaches on the flat side== as they don't have time to match up. Easy goal. (Might help to start one throw back, at 41:38, which created the poaches.)
