I usually don't bother commenting, but, MIG is an awful welding platform.. I would have only used, 7018, for many reasons...(Experienced High Pressure Nuclear certified welder). Much better penetration, far more symmetrical beads, and simply, far more strength. None the less, you are very determined, seem to have plenty of patients, and skills!! Very good video's young man! Thumbs up!

Oh , just asking. Is that pusher going to want to come up as you are moving forward pushing on a tree , is it pinned at the bottom?
@LifeWithChase12 күн бұрын
Nope not pinned at the bottom, in theory if the angle is correct and you start to lift the blade as you push it should work, but I'm curious how well it's going to work myself. I suppose I will find out the answer to that eventually 😁

The pulse start lamps require an external igniter to produce 5kv whereas the probe start lamps have the starting equipment self contained in the lamp. Open circuit voltage of a probe start ballast is about 310vac. This is why the pulse start lamp didn’t reignite.

Probably not, this engine has got some wear and I ran Lucas in the Winter with no issues and I'm thinking the thickness is similar to Lucas and 15-40 so I'm thinking it should be ok since it rarely gets below 20-25 degrees.

THESE TRUCKS ARE FRICKEN JUNK!! OUT OF 2 YEARS OF OWNING IT IT HAS RAN MAYBE 6 MONTHS . FUEL SYSTEM HAS ABOUT 18 O RINGS THAT CONSTANTLY NEED RPLACED. ONCE YOU FIX ONE LEAK ANOTHER ONE POPS UP . LIKE OTHERS I HAVE REPLACED EVERY SENSOR 3X'S AT LEAST AS WELL AS EVERY ORING . THE INJECTORS ARE SO EXPENSIVE MOST OF US CANT AFFORD NEW ONES SO WE TRY AND FIX THE OLD ONES . WHAT A NIGHT MARE. .004 .005 .003 .002 ON AND ON WITH DIFFERENT SHIM SPACING VALUES. SPECIAL ORDER LOC TITE IS REQUIRED ON SOME FASETENERS AND NOT OTHERS. CHINESE PARTS ARE AFFORDABLE BUT USUALLY DONT WORK. YOUR TALKING $40 VS WITCHCRAFT I MEAN MOTORCRAFT $800 FOR WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE EXACT SAME PART. THERE ARE CERTAIN PROCEDOURES THAT HAVE TO BE FOLLOWED EXACTLY OR WONT WORK . i HAVE SPENT OVER $500 IN ORINGS CUS EVERY TIME YOU REMOVE INJECTOR YOU HAVE TO REPLACE WITH NEW FORD ORINGS OR THEY WONT WORK . SUCH A PIECE OF CRAP! MY DODGE CUMMINS RARELY BROKE DOWN ON ME AND WHEN I DID I WAS ABLE TO FIX IT MY SELF QUICKLY AND VERY AFFORDABLE DO TO SO. i EVEN REBUILT MY NV4500 TRANSMISSION WITH EASE AND WAS ACTUALLY FUN. I AM SELF EMPLOYED OR AT LEAST WAS SELF EMPLOYED AS I NEED MY TRUCK TO GO TO WORK AND HAVE JUST ABOUT LOST ALL MY REGUALR CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THIS FRICKEN POS TRUCK! I WILL NEVER BY FORD EVER AGAIN . OVER 5K SPENT AND TRUCK STILL NOT RUYNNING. i OWE FINANCE COMPANY ONLY A FEW THOUSAND AND THEY WANT ME TO SURRENDER THE TRUCK TO THEM. AT THIS POINT THIS MIGHT BE THE CHEAPEST WAT TO FIX THIS TRUCK! F*CK FORD! TRUST ME STEER CLEAR OF THESE TRUCKS THEY ARE WORTHLESS MONEY PITS . BUY DODGE CUMMINS STRAIGHT SIMPLE 6 CYLINDER MOTOR THAT HAS WAY MORE POWER AND WONT BREAK DOWN ON YOU ONCE A MONTH . IF YOU DO BUY FORD MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AAA. I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH I HAVE SPENT ON TOW TRUCKS BUY IT IS ALOT !

I've been wondering what happens with longer oil change intervals. Lots of people say it's a bad idea... but nobody ever measures what happens. Congratulations , Chase, on doing a test to measure the effects. Seems that most manufacturer suggested oil change intervals aren't all that unreasonable even if they appear a bit long? :-)
@LifeWithChaseАй бұрын
I was curious also and couldn't find any videos of anyone testing it
@MichaelCzajkaАй бұрын
One thing I notice is that the wear is not averaged over the distance travelled e.g ppm/1000 km which may mislead you into thinking that wear has increased when it hasn't (total wear is up but averaged wear is not). The idea is to figure out at what stage the wear starts to accelerate if the oil is not changed... and make sure you change the oil before that happens.
@MichaelCzajkaАй бұрын
Wear analysis is the best way to identify which oils and additives work. The proof is often compelling. ...but very few people run enough analyses to figure out what works and what doesn't e.g. Synthetic oils are much better than miineral oils... with semi-synthetic being a good second best. :-)
@MichaelCzajkaАй бұрын
Adding zinc to oil can actually increase wear if you add too much. Most additives do very little to reduce wear... but you'll never notice unless you do a before and after test. Ideally what you want in an additive is something that only needs a single application... and results in a 50~90% wear reduction. :-)

Damn this video is a life saver the simple knowledge of knowing the regulators are the same thread between Acetylene and propane is good knowledge I just started getting into brazing I have smaller propane bottles that I fill with my 20lb tank but knowing I can use a Oxy Acetylene setup for propane and just switch tips and upgrading to T rated hoses
@LifeWithChaseАй бұрын
I'm not sure you can braze with propane because you can't use a brazing tip with propane I don't believe. I don't braze so it works great for me for cutting and heating. It does use more oxygen than with acetylene but uses very little propane.
