Hi I am just trying to put this kind of geomery in motion through sound frequency. I couldnt understand what this kangoroo component doing and where to connect sound motion components in your script. Maybe you have an idea to share..🥲

Thank you for your comment. In my opinion, since Kangaroo is a plugin for physical simulation, it might be better to take a different approach for the case you are aiming for. I have created a simple sample using the Trigger component and the Data Recorder component. You can download it from the link below for reference. You can download the file from this link drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Hy7AWGwjCiSi4vW6SPkOP9ds-_vFG8Cq?usp=sharing

Cool, this is actually a plain weave pattern made with perpendicular yarns alternating over and under. Knits would show looped yarns. However, the instructions are very clear for this plain weave.

Nice tutorial ! Could you explain how to add the pattern to a polysurface ?
@studioTama
@studioTama 2 ай бұрын
If you want to use this program, I think it's best to explode the polysurface and apply this program to each surface. However, depending on the shape of the surface, I think it may be necessary to devise some measures.

thanks for the video!! may i ask what is the purpose of grouping the initlal geometries? (would it work if we dont group them into two?)
@studioTama
@studioTama 2 ай бұрын
Thanks comment! Are you asking why I'm using Entwine component ? This is to write the program concisely. or Are you asking why I'm using mesh component after the initlal geometry component? This is because calculations with Mesh are faster than calculations with Brep.

Hello! Your video has inspired me a lot! Do you know if it is possible to use this code for different surfaces (they would be rectangles of different sizes)? And if it were possible, could it be done with all the surfaces at the same time or would I have to do them one by one? Thank you very much for the video!!!
@studioTama
@studioTama 2 ай бұрын
Thanks comment :) You can also apply this program to rectangles. Please check the sample from the link below. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C10joYwalNbm4atJo40BaPCEDKe9S9xm?usp=drive_link If you want to apply it to multiple surfaces, I have to change the program. If you use the current program, you have to do them one by one.

Hi, can we use more than 3 rules? I cannot get anything if i have 4 rules or more with my module.
@studioTama
@studioTama 2 ай бұрын
I think, you can use more than 3 rules. However, if you are not getting any results when you have 4 or more rules, it might be because there is no solution that satisfies all the specified rules. When the number of rules increases, finding a compatible solution can become more challenging due to potential conflicts or constraints among the rules. monoceros docs ↓ monoceros.sub.digital/monoceros-user-manual/index.html

This program can be used if the U count and V count are unified in the U and V directions. Therefore, shapes that are transformed from rectangles, such as trapezoids, can be worked using this program, but this program cannot be used for circles or other special surfaces, so I think it is necessary to come up with a way to unify the U count and V count.

Hii!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!! I have a problem with the extrusion, the vonoroi cells that are on the top or bottom result deformed because of the vector. I am trying to apply this technique for a lighter case. Is there a way to apply multiple vectors to the extrusion? Thank you!!
@studioTama
@studioTama 5 ай бұрын
Do you mean you want to apply different vectors for the cells at the top and bottom surfaces, and another set of vectors for the rest of the cells? If so, you would need to split them into two branches. After that, assign different vectors to each branch.

How can we change the dimensions of the model? It's square in this video, I want to make a rectangle. When I replace 'extent x: 100' with another number, the file doesn't work. I also tried adding different numbers to the X and Y nodes but I guess it's more complicated than that. Also can we add some random curves too? I need something more irregular. Great tutorial btw!
@studioTama
@studioTama 11 ай бұрын
thanks comment :) 1. If you change x dimension, you have to change "U" count in "surface from points component". Because points count also change when you change x dimension. I guess that is reason your file doesn't work. please check my grasshopper file from the link below. 2. of course you can add some random curve. You can add any curves, but you may need to consider what curves to add to achieve the shape you want. please check my grasshopper file from the link below. ↓ my grasshopper file drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C10joYwalNbm4atJo40BaPCEDKe9S9xm?usp=drive_link

I think this video isn't related to the fact that you can no longer select models in Rhinoceros. Perhaps the model was locked in the Viewport in Rhinoceros (did you press Ctrl+L in Rhinoceros?). If the model is locked, try typing "unlock" in Command in Rhinoceros :)
