Loving the MK 5, have yet to try the silk 99. Came here for the lightweight stuff but got my eyes caught on that piece of kill bill in the back, any chance it is for sale?

Jerry should make ASMR slackline videos

Great! Got this kit a month ago and have been enjoying it immensely. Pieced together how to use it from videos on individual components in the kit, the only thing I hadn't figured out was the intended way to use the whoopie. I had gotten it to work alrigt girth hitching it backwards but the whoopie ended up scrunched and this makes so much more sense. That said, using the compound system put way more tension on my line than I needed and the 3 to one has been enough for now (about 30-40m lines). Expect I'll be glad to have it as soon as I advance to using the whole line length, plus it adds maybe 30 seconds to the setup. Thanks!!

A comprehensive video of all of your webbing would be much appreciated! Bonus points if it included videos of all webbing being walked to see how the line reacts under weight!

Why do you use 2 carabineers on the dynamic anchor when you could just spiral loop it through one? Does it make it easier to pull? 7:14
@BalanceCommunity4 ай бұрын
It reduces friction in the primitive system substantially, giving you more effective pulling power. You can rig longer lines this way without a multiplier.
@hugocharneca76514 ай бұрын
10:40 at this stage i've found you can just clip a single loop of webbing going down through the ring. Its easier to reset and wont slip if you set it right

Soft shackle?

Is using aluminum in a weblock not a potential issue because of cyclic loading? I saw it has a 10kn working load, is there no fatigue happening if a line were to repeatedly see those forces?

Is it possible to use a carabiner?
@BalanceCommunity11 ай бұрын
Yeah definitely for park lines. Under no circumstances should a carabiner be used for highline or longline rigging.
@Anto9_10 ай бұрын
@@BalanceCommunity Why a carabiner is not compatible for longline rigging ?
@BalanceCommunity10 ай бұрын
@@Anto9_ The way we load carabiners with webbing puts a tri-load force on them, resulting in a far lower actual strength. There have been many cases of failed carabiners in longline rigging. Shackles are the preferred connector for this type of slackline.

Can I ask: why might it be a problem to have an increasing distance in front of the grip as the XL is loaded with tension?
@BalanceCommunity Жыл бұрын
It’s not really a problem at all. I just tend to like a smaller package when tensioning - less dangling, less movement, etc…
