I am a CZ guy. I was going to get a Shadow 2 compact but they sold out. Also this beast is gorgeous and caught my eye. I can wait till they sell the S2C again, send in either my PCR or P-01 for some custom work, or get this. I want to know what is your experience with so far? Does it kick like a mule? Or CZ flat? I keep all of my CZs stock because they are carry guns. Thing is I have money to play with and love CZ so with me having so many I want to dabble in some custom work but if this is a wonderful piece of art like it looks then I just might get one. I am looking at the black with gray grips. Thing I like is you can get the OR and get the RMR plate with rear sights. I know it is expensive but worth it. I hear the S2C is not safe at all for carrying concealed. Tell me your thoughts. Any feeding issues?
@Three60Crusader10 күн бұрын
I also have the Shadow 2 compact they both have aluminum frames and weight is almost identical around 30 ozs. My experience with both has been perfect no issues with either one of them. As far as recoil impulse that’s a tough one. Neither one of them kicks like a mule and both shoot fairly flat for compact style handguns. Triggers are close but I’d give the Kimber the edge overall shorter take up no creep and similar reset length to the SC2. The SC2 has a tiny tiny bit of creep and is more of a rolling break. Where the KDS9C is a solid wall then clean break. Safety wise the Kimber has the edge too. I feel safer carrying with the Kimber in single action. The CZ with its stock safety is kinda meh so I run it in double action. But that’s a personal preference thing. However from what I’ve read there isn’t any danger to carrying the SC2 compact. Most of the talk about it not being drop safe isn’t true in its stock configuration. Anyways it’s tough to recommend one over the other since my time with both is still somewhat limited.. I really like both but if carry is your aim I’d personally lean towards the Kimber. Slimmer profile better safety. However if you want to do custom work one day I’d say the SC2 is the way to go hands down.

@@Three60Crusader thanks brother. You know I am going to have to bite the bullet and get both. I had a guy buy a Staccato and Canik TTI yesterday and the gun guys were drooling. Well those are both nice firearms too. No matter which one you would’ve chosen I think you’d be satisfied. Both are quality guns from I’ve seen up to this point. I think the break-in period is a good thing, because it forces people who think they can just 'buy-load-carry' to familiarize themselves with it. I can't imagine trusting any firearm without at least practicing/testing it for a few hundred rounds. You can tell that comp is very effective by how the brass doesn't really get chucked at all.
@Three60Crusader2 ай бұрын
Well everyone should be testing out their firearms before trusting them with your life. I’m fine with break in periods specifically when the customers are made aware of it in advance. The comp definitely helps mitigate recoil.

Fail to extract, not eject. It has nothing to do with the cleanliness of the gun. The chamber isn't finish reamed.
@Three60Crusader2 ай бұрын
Any idea what may be the cause? I’m assuming it’s probably just the extractor then? Also by chance could it have anything to do with the guide rod coming loose?
@TheAmericanKid942 ай бұрын
@@Three60Crusader Like I said, the chamber isn't finished reamed. When gun the gun goes boom the brass expands to the shape of the chamber. Since the chamber isn't finish reamed and undersized the chamber is exceptionally tight and the gun doesn't want to extract the spent casing and leaves it in the chamber like that. Now that being said the extractor probably isn't helping the situation either. Springfield just drops extractors into the gun and doesn't bother tuning them. Often times the geometry is wrong, the tension is wrong, hook length is wrong. All of those are important for reliable feeding and extraction. As far as the guide rod goes its possible, but in this case I can guarantee you it's the chamber and or the extractor. Honestly if you want to have the prodigy fixed properly the first time and be done with it, send it to Chambers Custom Pistols. Best 1911/2011 custom shop in the world and they will make it run like a champ. At the very least call and ask them about your problem, they're very helpful to their customers.
