@@joshf-o6696 Trust me, I tried. Even shaved one down… still doesn’t fit. Need the 12 point to get at tighter angles. You don’t get enough rotation out of the open end.

Now there will be silicone in the system some where. There’s a difference between too much and just the right amount. More silicone isn’t gonna fix the issue.

@@mitchellsandlin7161 There was never silicon on it when it was leaking. Just a cheap crappy o ring. The factory chain tensioner cover is sealed with silicon to the timing cover. This repair is 100% fine & the proper amount of silicon was used.

Daniel I would like to thank you greatly for you video on taking out a wrx engine and putting the heads back on. I had never done something so big before and just 2 years ago I was scared to change the oil on my car. But from some dedication from me now I’m able to revive a 67 year old truck and take the engine out of my wrx and rebuild it. Thank you

@@DanielKellert 57 f100 with the 223 inline 6 it sat for 20 years since the last time it ran and drove but I was able to get the breaks clutch tranny, diff, fuel system, and engine working all within a few months

lol same problem use to happen when wiring iab on obd1 gsr npn and the obd2 gsr iab is wired pnp lol u realy want to see heads spin put obd2 engine harness in an obd1 integra and try to figure out why iab dont work lol

So what options would I get for my 2012 Ralliart, it doesn’t have an oem backup camera but I plan to add one later on. It came 2nd owner so it already has a pioneer head unit but none of the steering wheel controls work along with it not having CarPlay.

I'm gonna be pulling the engine on my '04 Forester XT soon. Pretty sure it spun a bearing, but it happened at low speed easy driving and I shut it down right away, so I'm hoping it can be saved! Never rebuilt a subaru engine before (just a few inline 4's and V8's), but I'm gonna give it a shot!

You're supposed to put oil on the head bolt threads and also the washer surface where it sits on the bolt boss.

Fyi, basically all aftermarket cables for this car suck. And those you have are sold by multiple companies (aka they’re very cheap and are prone to failure) I’m speaking from reviews I’ve read in 8th gen forums. Also I used to have hybrid racing cables and those made shifting crunchy. Fixed all my issues after going back to stock and some other supporting mods

Respectfully - I think exposed shifter assembly's are ugly, but that's just like my opinion man. Super helpful install tips, as usual. I hope you get the leaks sorted easily, those are annoying. I am trying to build something cool but I am hopelessly bad at wrapping so we'll see how "cool" it turns out...

This helped me with a T'eyes CC3 install on a Honda CRZ. Very similar set up and noise issue, with sound coming through very loud due to stock amp. I used Speaker-to-Phono adapters with visible positive/negative slots as this was the first time I have done anything daring by myself with a car audio system and none of the RCA cables I had at home looked like yours after opening them up. I watched this video a few times and it gave me the confidence to give it a try. I'm glad I did, thank you!
