These saws have an air cleaner flaw. The air filter should be removed and sealed with high temperature RTV silicone since it doesn’t have a gasket. Otherwise what happens is the fine sawdust sucks into the carburetor and eventually causes the saw to start running like crap. When the air cleaner needs cleaning blow it out with compressed air then spray the filter with carb cleaner and dry it with compressed air on a regular basis. Apparently the research and development team missed this flaw. The Husky saws have the same flaw but easily fixed using the the RTV silicone to seal the air cleaner.👍

I was just looking at the prices of Husqvarna and Jonsered 50cc class saws. They cost $400-$450. These are plastic clam-shell chainsaws that typically have plastic bearing raceways that will melt with hard usage. For that kind of money your in the ball-park of a pro-grade Echo 501P. A 50cc saw with a magnesium case... rebuild-able. I know this video is a little over two years old now. But no way I'm spending that kinda money on what's considered a "throw-away" saw. Now if you could find a deal on one, that's another story.

I've had mine for 4 years now never had any issues with it it runs good it's a good firewood saw good for cleaning brush off fences lines and it is really light for a 50CC saw and the most important thing it doesn't kill the back and I have probably cut about 25 quarts of wood up with mine still run strong

This style of starting is recommended for people who have too many limbs (feet, fingers) or more lives. Also by those who are passionate about changing dampers. Of course, the pruning is made by Husqvarna Group but Jonsered is also called. I have a Smart 450 with Mercedes engine so I have a Smart or a Mercedes? Although Smart is made by Daimler is not Mercedes!

@@g.d.7629 Because people knew that the Jonsereds engineers were superior. Every time they came out with an advancement, all the other saw companies had to wait until the patent ran out. This is why Husqvarna bought Jonsered, they kept the engineers in the city of Jonsered but they killed off the saw name.

Jonsered does or did make good saws! 2253 same as 550xp 2252 same as husq 545 2260 same as husqvarna 560xp NA in USA 2260 same engine as 562xp and cuts very fast at 12.8lbs. I really dont like stihls but do like the ms250 and the ms261 w18 bar for $589 Family center farmington,mo they give about 3 chains too!!! In Illinois try to find a stihl dealer who will do that. Thats why I dont like em probably. 362mtronic is good too. All my jonsereds have autotune except a 2245.I only bot it for the chrome bar. And some loggers do use Jonsered/husqvarna esp out northwest.

Ur dumb as shit...... U say poulan pro and craftmas are shit but johnerred is a very good saw.....but husky owns allbthe companys....and. The craftsman/poulan pro are basicly just there budget husky/johnsered.....i oersanly own a 455 rancher and a poulan pro......i always keep a poulan around for shit work cutting roots and shitty wood like Apple trees that always seam to have metal in them.....or if a buddy needs to borrow a saw he gets to borrow the poulan.....and it hasnt ben killed yet.....if u care for it and know how to tune it it will run just as good as ur johnerred

My father in law has 2 new stihls and it’s always a struggle to start the newest one from day one. Dealer can’t figure it out. Other one is not much better. Not sure on models but are 55 and other 50cc. My experience with those, way over priced and over rated. I would not buy one. I own a husky and an echo with ZERO issues from day one.

You mentioned price and I have recently been looking at several brands. The Stihl MS271 Farm Boss is the same price as the Jonsered CS 2250. They are not 50cc saws. Right now I’m torn between the Stihl and the Jonsered. My only concern with the Jonsered is that I just don’t know enough about them. I have friends and relatives that run Stihl and they are all very happy with them. Maybe I should be the rebel and go Red.

Hi there. My friend has a 1975 MW Gilson 16 hydrostatic that he is using for snow removal right now. However even though he has the owners manual it does not say where or how to add hydraulic fluid. His machine has been losing it and now he can get parts moving that need to move. I know yours is a bit different but perhaps you can help me as I would imagine it would still be relatively the same place. Any help you could give me with this will be greatly appreciated!! We have had a huge snowfall and I would love my driveway plowed. Lol. My friend is very mechanically inclined so there is no need to dumb anything down. I will be sending him this video as soon as my question is answered. Thanks again.

Glenn Taylor I bought 2 CS2255 saws this year and both run great. In my humble opinion, if you buy A Stihl, get the 362. Best all around saw they have. If I were you, and money was not a big factor, get the Husqvarna 460 or 465. Honestly, parts and dealer support will be more readily available since Husqvarna is killing off Jonsered within A few months. I have the 460 and if 60.3 cc's and the option to use the 18-24" bar isn't enough, I don't have any other ideas ☺ I have A video of the saw itself if you wanna see what one looks like up close, if you haven't already. I've had mine for almost A year and it runs as good as it did the day I bought it. Plenty of power
