My friend would sing the chorus and "I can get you, you can get me" part when we were in high school. I never watched Yu Yu back then though but am watching through it now on Netflix. I had been waiting for this song, but it never showed up in the theme songs like it did for her (back when it was on Cartoon Network, I assume). Does anyone know when this song would have played during that original English run? Netflix seems to have just used the original Japanese opening and closing songs.

To everyone who's wondering what happened to Ippo. He lost to a filipino boxer, and lost to the world rank #2. He retired, and became a trainer due to his punch drunk symptoms. He needed a break and is currently learning new techniques by studying and becoming a second to other boxers. His experience as a trainer and second in the ring made him realize what he was lacking when he was still active. He was able to learn new techniques like parry counter, catching punches like he was holding a mitt when doing his trainer role, and even learned southpaw stance, which makes him a switch hitter. He sparred with those boxers in his era. First, with sendo who beat the rank 2 in the world, then Volg who currently a champion, and lastly, Mashiba who is currently fighting a world champion. Ippo was able to fight toe to toe in their sparring with these prime fighters while he is retired. People around him are just waiting for a trigger for him to come back to the ring as a pro boxer.
