We’re thinking of moving to Verdi from Oakland, Ca. Do you live in Verdi or Reno? Would you be open to answering questions about living in the area? Please provide an email address if so. Thanks!

@@JR-hl1lp life is nice in the Reno area. Is it perfect? Of course not. Verdi is very nice and now it’s very expensive to live out there. They built a new neighborhood and they are building another high end neighborhood across from Cabelas . If you have money and are retired then Verdi is awesome. If you have kids hopefully they go to school in Verdi.

It has really gone hill since the Mandalay Bay shooting. The Grand Sierra imposed a bunch for rules that chased away a lot of vendors. With fewer vendors, there were fewer attendees. With fewer attendees, fewer vendors could make a profit after expenses. So the promoters moved to the Convention Center. The show went from w.fully packed ballrooms to one ballroom at the convention Center to 1/2 of one ballroom. I went there for the last time in Nov 2019 before they went to thr Nugget. I drove all the way from Southern Idaho, paid for a night at the Atlantis, and finished the gun show in less than an hour.complete waste of time. No more Miwall ammo taking an entire wall. The two knife.vendors I knew stopped glong. No more t shirt vendors that rented 12 tables, 6 on each side, bo more tool vendors--I had bought a Leatherman Surge, the best multi tool from that vendor. No more coffee mug vendor. I had wanted to get a certain mug to match one a friend bought me one year. Sad.

Well it seems times have changed. I moved here in 2019 and 3 years after Covid the Reno convention hall has been packed every weekend they host it there. No masks. No social distancing. No gun bans or mag bans. You can even buy suppressors at our gun shows lol. Well us locals can.

Beautiful ride! This is a "BIG ELI" wheel from the "Eli Bridge Company" which is still manufacturing them (believe it or not) in Jacksonville IL. The wheel in its original state used a cable drive system around the rim as opposed to the new hydraulic wheels and drive rim you see here today. The original cable drive system was much faster and made for a much thrilling ride, however a seasoned operator was required as careful balancing upon loading was needed. Thanks for the clip!

And wonder why native Hawaiians are becoming homeless! Welcome to America!!! Greed over reality! Yes it costs to ship goods from the mainland, but there should be a balance to offset that cost, but the people who profit don’t care that,that the average person can’t afford the artificially high prices for goods as long as they can afford it.

Do they got food stamps in Hawaii
@phillip_ino11 ай бұрын
Yes but the system probably kicks you out if you work your way up and make too much money. It incentivizes people to stay in poverty just to qualify for free food.

1- it could be to many people stealing Or 2-they are helping us along towards getting us all adjusted to new world order Hmmm😮 interesting how everything under 10$ are being locked up because of theft rise. Maybe the system of survival and life should change. There are more poor people on the rise, and the government discourages humans to the point of homelessness and humans barely able to survive. The government ups the price of goods and nobody can afford certain essential things and in turn locks up goods because humans are stealing because they have no money. The government is at fault in all these situations on how they operate this world and control humans. Sad 😢
