Really wish you put a slab on the back and just routed out a recess for your mounting. That rear panel doesn't seem sealed and will slowly let out humidity unless it has and air tight seal on the wall.

Looks great but it's crazy how expensive those hardware kits are. Just a platform would run easily $1000.
@KeimpieceCarpentry
@KeimpieceCarpentry 13 күн бұрын
yea the kits are pretty expensive. It's hard to find an alternative though. I'm sure you could order some larger lag bolt somewhere but you can't find them in local stores. If you had a welder you could also weld something up I'm sure.

Hey awesome tree house, is the platform floating on your beam? I’m building one for my kids and are using the tabs and floating brackets. When you set your posts in the ground I assume that the actual platform is floating to let it move freely.
@KeimpieceCarpentry
@KeimpieceCarpentry 15 күн бұрын
that's correct. The post side is solid but the tree side is designed to slide on the beam, that's why I added the plastic pieces to reduce friction.

Perhaps it is meant for use as a vertical bandsaw. I have got one and planning to build it into a vertical bandsaw with a stand. When it is vertical, the cable will be at the bottom and the blade cutting direction is correct.

Yeah I totally agree 👍 with you that the blade is running in the wrong direction. Just watched another video where the person was using it without the base. I think if using it like this and the blade jams it will pull the saw away from the operator. (I think) But I totally agree with you that the blade should be going in the other direction 👍👍 NSW.
