You need to look at your assets and decide if the return on the real estate is going to be the same as the return on the money in the Laundromat.

All you have to do is call the water company and ask how many gallons of water the property uses per month. Every other answer revolves around that one number.

Absolutely. But also I personally spend over 100x the cost of these groups to be in mastermind groups. So I genuinely believe in how powerful and transforming they can be and I wanted to make them accessible to anyone who wants to join one.

I don't think it is realistic to ask a Laundromat operator if you can take over without compensating them. They will unrealistically want to be compensated even though the Laundromat does not make enough to allow them to keep it up and running properly. By the same time. A landlord is probably not receiving market rent from the operator of the struggling Laundromat (f he or she is paying rent at all).. The operator would however happily take the money of a less savvy buyer who in trying to be ethical is really being naive.

I’m not understanding the math, for example if you average 10k people and 78% renters is 7,800 X $50 is 390K not 35k. Can you explain more?

Cents seems, for early adopters. If I'm the 2nd laundromat on the block to get it, I don't have ANY of the advantage that the leader has. The way I see it is that I give up margin to maintain status quo. I'm open to having my mind changed
@LaundromatResourceАй бұрын
I guess it depends on your business model and which part of Cents (or any other company) you’re talking about. The software allows you to operate a drop off or pickup and delivery service. You don’t have to use Cents but you will have to use some software, like Clean Cliud, Curbside, Turns, etc. The payment system (card payments) give your customers more ways to pay, give you more control of your business, and give you better accounting options (which makes your business more valuable). Again, it doesn’t have to be Cents, per se, but I would argue a digital payment system gives you a lot more than status quo. Just my opinion
@dhurstellАй бұрын
@LaundromatResource ya it's not Cents per se, it's the tech motto: "your margin is my opportunity." I'm a big tech investor, but at the owner/operator level, I'm much more wary. I'd rather have a bunch of Capex, and NOT have the monthly fee. I can easily get financing for Capex, but when you make it a monthly fee, it becomes OPex.. and THAT is difficult for our industry to handle because traditional finance doesn't understand us
