I went to a pelvic floor specialist when all of a sudden from eating spicy food i had urgency and frequency. I knew it wasn't the norm. I went to this Pelvic Floor specialist for 4 or 5 months and i was told to retrain my bladder and do numerous exercices at home. After 5 months was up I discovered on my own that vaginal estrogen cream will help prevent uti's and urgency and frequency. So I went to my doctor and got a prescription of Premarin and used it for the first time last nght. I hope it helps. Oh by the way I'm no longer going to a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. I'm not sure if there is any need as i'm 63 years old well past menopause and feel that the estrogen cream will work. Here's hoping.

My cystoscopy was terribly painful! It lasted close to 20 minutes too. The urologist shoved the scope in and out of me 5 times. What little numbing agent that was used was gone after the first entry & exit. I was peeing razor blades for the next two days! What are these people talking about that it's not painful? It was horrible. The more I hear urologists tell me something is not painful the less credibility they have with me.

What an amazing video!!! Very engaging, thorough, and informative. 38 minutes well spent. I am 63 y/o and 1 week post pelvic floor prolapse repair surgery. I have learned so much from this video than the few minutes I spent with my surgeon. Now, when l go for my follow-up visit, I will be equipped with a million educated questions. I will also be requesting pelvic floor PT and possibly estrogen cream. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!❤

Hi Kelly, as directed by you I watched your video on prolapse. It was so educational & you are a wonderful teacher, I have rectocele grade 2, bladder prolapse grade 1 to 2,uterine prolapse grade 2. I use a ring pessary all the time, I saw surgeon this week who recommended vaginal hysterectomy. I am 49, any thoughts ? Thanks so much 🙏

I have severe hydronephrosis of a kidney, nephrostomy tube converted to double J stent. stone is lodged in ureter above bladder. The kidney and ureter swelling needs to heal during this time. Waiting now to hear from my doctor as to what is next. I asked about Lithotripsy, but he passed that off as not an option, rather a cystoscopy procedure was preferred My question for you today is how will they remove and replace the new stent as they are only good for 3 months? Do they place a wire through the stent so as to pass by the stone and slide the stent off the wire and then a new stent onto the wire and into place?, because they had a difficult time getting the first stent placed the first time and now that the tube out they have to go up from below. Thank you.

If a stent came out when she urinated, the coil likely wasn't in the correct location or the stent had a string on it. They don't usually move when you urinate.

I know I have a Great for bladder prolapse issue.. however I am not having any urinary problems. I have no leakage. I am able to defecate without any issues, but the bulge is big and it’s hanging through my vagina but after listening to you, I am so relieved that I don’t have to have surgery if I don’t want surgery, thank you so much for this amazing video. I have sent it to my email. I have sent it to my messengers and I have sent it to my messages. I really really really appreciate you. Thank you so much.

I know this video is 4 years old but the information you’ve provided was absolutely essential to me. You’ve helped me not be so freaked out about what’s going on with me. I’m 53, had a hysterectomy at 42 where they left my tubes and ovaries because I had a pulmonary embolism when my youngest daughter was born in 2004. They didn’t want to put me into early menopause at 42 since they felt HRT was not an option for me. Now, I have a solid 5cm mass in the center/left side of my pelvis near my ovaries that was found incidentally during an ER and hospital stay due to a horrible UTI/kidney infection, sepsis, and kidney abscess. One radiologist thinks the mass may actually be a residual fibroid that is attached to my vaginal cuff area or maybe a broad ligament fibroid/mass. I’m scheduled for surgery to remove the mass in a couple weeks. I’ve been experiencing tailbone pain for about 5 months that I keep getting told is just aging. I’ve had no injuries or an accident to explain the pain. This week, I noticed a lump at the entrance of my vagina on the back/posterior. It’s worse later in the day or if I’ve been on my feet a long time. I’m curious if the solid mass near my ovary could be contributing to the lump/rectocele or if this is completely a separate issue. They sent me to a gyno oncologist for review and surgery on the solid mass, as a precautionary measure. I’m trying to figure out if I should let my surgeon know about the rectocele issue, before she takes out the mass or let it go and see if the solid mass being removed helps fix the issue. It wasn’t something I wasn’t even aware of during my initial consultation and physical exam with her. She likely didn’t see it during the exam because I was on my back. I don’t want extra surgery if I don’t need it, but I also don’t want two surgeries if I can avoid it.

My 2010 bladder sling caused a hole in my colon causing fistulas between my vagina & (my bladder & colon) allowing feces to come from my vagina & my bladder June 2022. I had emergency surgery and a stoma was created. In March 2023 mucus began coming from my vagina - then feces again , so I had surgery to revise the stoma and cut as much of the colon stump as possible. I am still fighting mucus coming from my vagina - it’s like sitting in a bowl of tapioca pudding. The last several weeks I’ve had urine coming from my vagina also. The colon doctor said the fistulas can’t be fixed because the mesh has landed on top of the fistulas (they can’t be seen by a cat scan) and it’s too dangerous. I am having bleeding from my vagina because of the irritation from the mucus & urine. Is there any way the fistulas can be plugged or something so the mucus comes from my rectum??

This video I watched of Dr. Carlson(4 yrs.old) very good but she speaks far too fast because the technical words one just cannot get. I have a prlapse I think is 3-4 grade but speaking on a video about such personal healthh issues ahould be spoken much slower to get it all.

I had this done. Insurance does cover it, but of course you have to meet your deductible. I was put under sedation for the procedure and unfortunately it did not work. Ib will have to go in for another round, which means most likely a copay this time around.
