I want to paint an object on, like make it appear wherever it is painted. I thought it could be done by using the alpha channel, but the object never disappears completely. It still shows up, casts shadow. I want it to be invisible wherever it is not painted. Thanks!

@@KennyPhases Thanks for the reply. Yes, I had it set up correctly, but since my object was double sided, using the solidify modifier on the plane, it was still effecting the light rays casting a shadow. I deleted the solidify modifier and just added a side piece to indicate it was a thick plane. It's all fixed now.

Is there a metod to stop the gravity and block the object in a specific place? I wanna be appear my cube from the bottom and he comes up with this effect and stop it in a specific point.
@KennyPhases
@KennyPhases 12 күн бұрын
Yes but you are better off just using keyframes to do this. With real physics you could create a hidden object with a negative force field that stops the object in its path (above the object). Regular keyframing will probably give you a better effect though!

Nothing I bring in as a link file wants to snap correctly. It always uses the center instead of the edge. I'm trying to design this big Community Center for a game called Resonite. I figured it would be wise to build it in different modules and put them together, that way if I have to change something, it's only for that one piece and not the entire building. Anyway, I figured using this technique, I could have like a master blend file to keep track of everything and to make sure the pieces fit together correctly. This snapping issue is making it impossible though, any advice?
@KennyPhases
@KennyPhases 15 күн бұрын
I believe when you link the file, it uses the original ORIGIN from the first file. So depending on where your world-origin is within the ORIGINAL file, you will get that same 'object center', when linking! Let me know if that makes sense!

Hi! It's a great video because I want to do the same thing. I suggest you make available the Python script that creates this keys and keyboard. Some users, like me, use Python scritps to create Blender object. It's easy! As you know Blender generates a Python script for each of your actions. See Info view. You can choose to publish the Info logs raw (now editing) or if you are a Python programmer you can simplify it and structure it by separating parts of the construction into functions. Either way is good for me. That would be very useful to many viewers.

by increasing the emission above 1, the image looks dull due to the increased brightness.
@KennyPhases
@KennyPhases 21 күн бұрын
You may be able to combat this by adding a contrast node and increasing the contrast. Not every image will be perfect! You could also try to use post-processing techniques to help fix those issues (Photoshop or Lightroom)

hi i made a burger model i had to use a lot of objects . how to do hover animation of multiple objects?
@KennyPhases
@KennyPhases 22 күн бұрын
Hello! Sounds like a fun project! You will have to individually keyframe each object within your burger model. So you would probably be better off using keyframes rather than real physics. Another option, if you choose the physics route, is to increase the surface thickness setting for each object to give them some space in between when simulating your physics!

Hey i dont know if you can help me in this but i just started learning blender today, im efficient in after effects tho but trying to expand my workflow. The thing is im doing a website video where i want to use 3d glass balls flying in the environment of the website. The whole project is made in after effects and most of the layers are in 3d space with a solid background. So my question is how do i create a rotating ball here and take it in after effects and paste it in the scene in front of my website and it still remains transparent. Do i have to take a screenshot of the scene in after effects and use that as hdri or something?
@KennyPhases
@KennyPhases 22 күн бұрын
Hello! Although I do not know after-effects, you can easily export transparent PNG-frames within Blender. You have to utilize the output settings to do so!

You could've just duplicated the plane behind the image, made it a little bigger, inset just a bit, inverted selection and extruded outwards for the frame. That way it's much faster and more accurate.
